Hey guys- here's a quick update on the German "steel-shells" which I posted a video of before. I just wanted to show the correct way to assemble these as there was some confusion regarding the 2 folding tabs on the spine causing the steelbook to stick out from the sleeve a tiny bit. I hope this clarifies things...

Aren't the Man of Steel shells and the German steelshells pretty much the same? They look identical without seeing a true closeup of the Man of Steel ones.
Also, why do they say they protect the spine? Three sides ones are supposed to leave the spine open. I have some of the German ones, but they seem looser than the original two sides ones I got first. I take it steelbooks fight tighter in the Man of Steel ones judging by the one post. |

They may be comparing them to the type that have both spines exposed. At least these protect that 1 side which comes into contact with the shelf. |

anyone know of any nice hard cases that would house my rarer steelbooks safely that I keep sealed. The off chance that we get an earthquake or someone wants to pick it up off the shelf (no touching! lol). Preferably I would like a tight fitting hard shell I can even possibly place in one of the plastic steelbook display holders.
Maybe I am dreaming? |

![]() Toronto had an earthquake the same day I wrote that lol, didn't you feel it? cause I sure didn't.. Unfortunately my rarer ones are wrapped in bubble and boxed tightly and securely; they have been since their release days. I want to be able to display them or put them on the shelf but worries me how fragile they are. I would definitely be down for a group buy in the gta here for anyone else interested want to combine shipping/get bulk discount, try out some of these soft/hardshell's for most of my steelbooks, except Iron Man, he stays in bubble wrap about 5 times as thick as the steel iteself. I've peaked at my favorite and greatest steelbook in my collection only twice in 2 years, scares me to touch it; I cannot afford to replace it lol. |
