I went online and SAE shows a tracking number. So they are shipping. I should have Fat City and Emperor of the North by the weekend.

Did not know Black Widow was coming. Definitely picking this up asking with Vampires.

I saw my shipping notice email this morning when I woke up.

I had pre-ordered 10 to Midnight, Fat City, At Close Range, and Emperor of the North.

I wonder why they have announced all of the details for their October releases except for Strange Invaders?

The new releases tend to trickle out over time and the details are usually announced at the same time the cover art is posted. If I had to guess, they might still be working on the cover art for Strange Invaders or they're waiting for approval of the art before posting it. They might also be trying to spread out the announcements as well.

Man, I like ordering right from TT. Got 10 to Midnight today, super fast. Naked man on the inner artwork, which is amusing.

While we unfortunately cannot post here often, we do read the forum and try our best to respond to your feedback. We were given the all clear on shipments of all 5 titles Wednesday morning, only to learn this morning from Cinram that Angel was delayed in manufacturing. This has no doubt impacted SAE also.

We are pushing hard to have any shipments including Angel go out today, but this issue has delayed orders that included this title. We apologize for the delays, and will do our best to get everyone their films as soon as possible.

That's good to hear. I was a loyal SAE customer for almost a decade, way before TT even came on the scene. I used to order soundtracks from them. The shipping has gotten so bad at SAE. The past 5 times I've ordered from them I had to wait 6 to 8 weeks for stuff that was supposedly in stock when I ordered. I don't expect Amazon type of delivery service but a minimum of 6 weeks? I ordered soundtracks from another site and got my orders within a week, plus I got 1 dollar shipping! Yeah. I'm done with SAE.

Weird since I'm from Canada and every time I order from them, I get my stuff in a week. My last 2 orders recently shipped out the next day.

I have to say that there was a period earlier this year when it was getting really bad with SAE, especially around the anniversary sale. But my last order with them for the recent signed promo was shipped out the next morning and arrived 2 days later. I wasn't not expecting that at all and so it was a very nice return to their earlier great service. Packaging, also, was top notch, which I appreciated since USPS managed to crush one corner of the box, but with the cushioning and pellets, nothing got damaged.

It was probably a case of them not having the items I ordered in stock. That's fine but fess up about it. No email. No nothing. I just avoid them now. I can see this happening one or two times. But it happens now every time I order from them. It's pretty funny but a while back I placed an order from SAE. A week later a placed an international order via regular shipping. Took about two weeks. I got the international order way before the SAE order! Pathetic!

From Twilight Time:

Attention all Julie Kirgo fans: we have just been notified that the light-type against dark background text in the AT CLOSE RANGE booklet has made the essay very hard to read -- and as we wouldn't want anyone who cares about good writing to miss out on her thoughts about this terrific film, Cinram will be reprinting the entire run....replacement booklets for AT CLOSE RANGE will be available to anyone who would like one, from early next week...sorry for the inconvenience...
UPDATE: Those that have ordered from http://www.twilighttimemovies.com will automatically be sent a replacement booklet...

Ummmm, can they also INCREASE THE FONT SIZE! Why are the essays in a font 6 or 7? How about a 12 for god's sake? I practically need a magnifing glass to read them.

My Blu-rays of Fat City, At Close Range, 10 to Midnight, and Emperor of the North arrived in the mail yesterday.

I just got back from a 23-mile run with my training group, and I'm feeling Emperor of the North for this afternoon to enjoy a couple of hours off of my feet. I'm excited about seeing how much this Blu-ray improves over my old DVD. Ernest Borgnine was the man!

I was thinking the same thing. Their font size is small! My eyes hurt after I'm done reading the booklet. Why can't the font be bigger? To save on paper?

I don't own the TT version but I do own the UK version, and think it is up there w/ The Sound of Music and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang as one of the Top Ten in PQ in my collection.
