Wouldn't The Train be at least 18 months away, as the first edition was released in 6/14?

Not necessarily. We've all operated on the assumption that the original 3-year window needed to be up before they re-issued any title. But that was, I'd warrant, simply because it seemed reasonable, and wasn't contradicted by any known facts. But I should point out that Christine was recently released by Sony only 2― years after the TT release, so at the very least, we can conclude from that that the 3-year exclusivity window can be voided if both parties agree.

I doubt the release date is the date at which the three year deal starts. If it was, then, if the title was never released, the studio would be stuck. I'm willing to be there's a hard start date in the contract that's independent of the release date. It may not be the date the contract is signed, but it's got to be defined in the contract.

I agree that the date is most likely defined in the contract. There has to be some wiggle room, though, if circumstances cause a delay, like Zardoz being pushed back a month because it was taking Fox longer to remaster it.

The street date (or even pre-order date) was simply the most reasonable date for us as consumers to use, given that we aren't privy to what's in TT's contracts with the studio. At the very least, one can argue that it's the latest possible date to start the 3-year window.

I just saw this on TT's FB page. Oildude may want to update the main page with it:

REVISED LOW QUANTITY UPDATE:
USED CARS - fewer than 250 remaining
EXPERIMENT IN TERROR - fewer than 400 remaining
SLEEPLESS IN SEATTLE - fewer than 400 remaining
THE BLUE LAGOON - fewer than 500 remaining
IN LIKE FLINT - fewer than 500 remaining
THUNDERBIRDS ARE GO / THUNDERBIRD 6 - fewer than 500 remaining
JOURNEY TO THE CENTER OF THE EARTH - fewer than 500 remaining (out of 5,000)
FIRST MEN IN THE MOON - fewer than 1,000 remaining (out of 5,000)
ZARDOZ - fewer than 1,750 remaining (out of 5,000)
JC'S VAMPIRES - fewer than 2,000 remaining (out of 5,000)

Seems safe to say that Vampires is not going to sell out anytime soon.

All of the other OOP titles are ones that I'm not interested in (mostly the horror titles) or already have.
Those are my picks as well. It would still be cool if each re-release had at least a new feature or two, if not a new and improved scan, but I would still pay for an identical re-release if it meant getting a copy and stickin' it to the scalpers.

Regarding the shipping charges on SAE, do TT actually ship internationally???? I couldn't find anything on their site and I live in Australia?

Funny that is what they post on FB but on TT's own site is only lists Thunderbirds as running out....

Maybe that's based only on their own website but not overall inventory between SAE and TT.

Either way, I own all the low stock items I'm interested in already.

Oildude has been on work travel the past few days and just got home. I had seen this on TT's Facebook earlier today and have now updated the low quantity information on the first page. Thanks for the reminder.

Watched Black Widow this evening. I was impressed, some scenes and colours looked amazing. Overall very happy. I don't pretend to be an expert, but I enjoyed what I saw.

Great fun film, great disc and very happy with my $30 outlay

I love movies from the 70īs. Therefore I hope that Twilight will release a film which probably not many people know.

The movie is called "The Outside Man"(from 1972) and it has a terrific cast which includes Jean Louis Trintignant, Roy Scheider, Ann Margret and Angie Dickinson.

Got my Sense & Sensibility and Remains of the Day yesterday, so I'm pleased with TT's shipping! No need to go to SAE again.

Not usually the kind of movie I need to own, but I have a lot of nostalgia for it. Might have to grab it.
