My copy just arrived today. I live really close to their shipping center, so usually get items the next day from when they ship. I would guess they are still sending them out since mine probably shipped yesterday.

I got a shipping notice today for my last order. They should have just sent them together, but I don't think their system is that sophisticated. (from SAE)

The problem is the studios keep treating blu-ray like a mainstream format, and have said in interviews they want UHD to be a mainstream format and hope HDR and such will lead to it being one. It's all a hopelessly optimistic strategy that leads to them seeing everything as a disappointment and turning to digital as "the future."

If they treated blu-ray much like they did laserdisc back in the day (or even VHS ownership early on) then they would likely be pleased with catalog sales in the 10,000 copies range, rather than seeing it as the end times.

Twilight Time ventures into this sinister domain with the first of several films from the library of Italian distributor Rewind Film, a rarely seen and rather woolly stew of madness, murder and mayhem called La Bambola di Satana aka The Doll of Satan (1969), directed by one-timer Ferruccio Casapinta.
Rewind Film has a lot of interesting stuff in their library. I wonder what else TT will release. Really exciting!

It's one thing for my parents to not know what a Bluray is, but a seller who works in a relevant store? Seriously???
My favorite anecdote of something similar happened back in the late 80s. I had bought a laserdisc player, and was shopping around anywhere and everywhere to see who might have discs, and what kind of prices they'd be selling them for. I stopped in one mall in Nashua, NH, checked out the large selection at the Lechmere store, then went down to the Sears at the other end of the mall. I explained to the guy there I was looking for laserdiscs. He said, "You mean compact discs?" "No, these are large discs about the size of LPs, but have movies on them." "Oh, I don't think they have those yet." "Well, they do at Lechmere. I only came down here to see if you had them cheaper." He was astonished to hear there was such a thing!

Granted, Sears is a generic anchor store, and not specifically into electronics, but still...

Tempted to pick up The Last Detail and Bound for Glory (considering Hawaii as well tbh) but I don't want to put myself in a position where a superior edition comes later from Arrow or MoC and I have to bother with the cycle of reselling it.

I'm tempted to pick up Harlock Space Pirate 3D. The movie is average but the CGI and 3D are supposed to be excellent. Also tempted by Hawaii, but that can wait for a $10 off sale. But Harlock is likely to sell out at some point and thus probably will not be included in any $10 off sale.

Edit: Succumbed to the temptation. Bought both after reading the reviews.

So did the $5 coupon for the Harlock pre-order happen or did that just go away?

My copy of Harlock was just delivered and it included a slip of paper with the $5 coupon code on it.

Is it better to order TT titles from the SAE website or the newer Twilight Times website?

I'd say they're about equal; right now SAE has a coupon so there's no reason to order from TT's site themselves considering you can save $6 a title.

Funny. I got home after I posted this and had Harlock in the mail and had the slip of paper stating the same. Thanks for the response. There is no expiration date on it though. Anyone know when it expires.

And it appears that it does not stack with the 20% off code.

Yeah who know when it will expire. I wasn't even expecting my copy of Harlock today. Never got a shipping email from SAE and the package never showed up in my MyUSPS page. Oh well. Glad it's here now.

I tired to stack the coupons as well and it didn't work. I'll just use my $5 coupon when I pre order the two February titles I want.
