I wonder if TT has access to Fox/Hammer's THE NANNY (1965)?

Same as me. I picked up the Eureka Blus of Rapture & Violent Saturday which have subtitles.

Last night, I watched my Twilight Time Blu-ray of The Hound of the Baskervilles.

Peter Cushing is still my favorite screen incarnation of Sherlock Holmes, and Christopher Lee is great as Sir Henry Baskerville. I'm particularly impressed, though, with Andre Morell's performance of Doctor Watson, because movies rarely get Watson right. Marla Landi's portrayal of Cecile Stapleton lends a sensual edge to this movie that was not in Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's novel, and it works quite well for the film adaptation. Of course, the hound itself is a solid slice of good old monster movie glory. Director Terence Fisher, who also helmed a great many of the classic Hammer Studios horror pictures, works wonders here when it comes to capturing the atmosphere of the moors.

In terms of video quality, this high definition presentation of The Hound of the Baskervilles is not exactly demo material, and images are not quite as detailed as most would prefer, but I was pleased with several of the close-ups of characters. I've got no complaints about the audio presentation. Given the source material, I'm inclined to give high marks all around to the disc. The colors look fantastic.

I only made it through a couple of the special features last night before the sleep monster caught me, but I quite enjoyed Christopher Lee's recollections on the film and on working with Peter Cushing and Terence Fisher. I plan to listen to the commentary track when I get home from work this afternoon.

Overall, this is a really cool movie with what is perhaps the best cover artwork of a Twilight Time title to date. Highly recommended!

I decided to place an order for Romeo is Bleeding, because it looks to be a strong neo-noir for my collection.

Romeo is not the only one who is bleeding. My wallet is also bleeding.

Looks like some of the older TT titles are are having their cases replaced. Fate is the Hunter and The Bounty both arrived in clear cases and not the blue. Wonder if all past titles still in print get this makeover?

Just bought four TT titles from Screen Archives sale, I hadn't own any of TT titles before, the titles that I picked up are;

The Big Heat
Birdman of Alcatraz
Judgement at Nuremberg

Any recommend classic title that I should pick up more? Cheers!

Based on those above I would recommend:

Drums Along the Mohawk
Jane Eyre
All the King's Men
Born Yesterday
Inherit the Wind
A Man for All Seasons
Guess Who's Coming to Dinner?

If I had to pick one, I'd go with Inherit the WInd.

I just got an email from SAE reminding me their TT sale is about to end. They are officially sold out of the encore edition of Mysterious Island. TT has copies left but their stock might be really low FYI.

Odd. Their website is still saying that the sale runs until July 1st.

About to end? There's still 2 weeks left until the sale ends on July 1st. I figured they would run out of some titles but I wouldn't think they would end the sale early.

Sorry if I gave that impression. The sale runs until 7/1 @ 4 pm but of all the available TT titles Mysterious Island has sold out.

I'm going to grab Brannigan & Birdman of Alcatraz, but I have to wait until 6/30 So I hope those don't sell out before then.

Definitely a film that needs subtitles even for those not hearing impaired. I missed about 80% of the dialogue by the two children in the picture who spoke in a very thick Yorkshire dialect.

An update from Twilight Time:

Quote:
UPDATE: Just a heads-up that MYSTERIOUS ISLAND (encore edition) is now SOLD OUT at SAE (there are some copies remaining at http://www.twilighttimemovies.com - but these are going fast!)
The last announced number for Mysterious Island was several months ago when it was less than 1,000 remaining. This is the count shown in the low quantity alert in the first post of this thread, but it sounds like this number has been significantly reduced since then. I have noted this new information in the OP.

When was this announced? There are less than 200 copies of First Men in the Moon but I have seen no definite number announcements for MI.
