Well, so long as we're confessing our double-buying sins, I did accidentally buy Knocked Up twice. It was $5 both times, and I just plain forgot I had it already when I bought it a second time. I wound up putting my second copy in the garage sale pile.

Anything else I doubled-up on was done on purpose.

...because I had already purchased both of them three months ago!

*sigh*

I've spent a lifetime collecting CDs, VHS tapes, DVDs, and Blu-rays, but this is the first time in my life that I've accidentally made double purchases.

I feel like an idiot. I should have known better. It's nice that I acquired them both for the sale price, but I could have spent that $40 on other discs.

Not all owls are wise.

Well, lesson learned. At least I've got backup copies of these two fine cinematic milestones.
Commend yourself that you made it this far without accidental doubling. I almost did it with Judgement At Nuremberg. Luckily I realized before it shipped and Twilight Time cancelled the one item no problem. I've done it at least 5 times with cheap movies though. Now I use a Sort It! Movies app on my phone so when I'm at the store I can double check first.

With me it was buying Hanging for Django without realising I already had it under another title on a spaghetti Western collection DVD - and had already seen and hated it.

What? Knocked Up? Nah. It wasn't a great movie by any stretch of the imagination, but I was surprised that I liked it as much as I did. Not enough to buy a copy (I got it from Netflix), but enough to think better of it than other films of its ilk.

Well, if anybody wants to trade their Support Your Local Sheriff/Support Your Local Gunfighter Blu-ray for my extra copies of The Last Detail and Audrey Rose, then let me know.

(It's worth a shot.)

Sadly, my extra Blu-rays are not sealed, because I removed the wrapping before I realized that they were double purchases. They're obviously in perfect condition, though.

I've never seen 10 Rillington Place but I've been meaning to ever since my dad recommended it years ago (I ended up getting it mixed up with 11 Harrowhouse, which was fun but totally a different type of film) so I'm definitely picking this up. I've already picked out my other four titles including the Panic in Needle Park and Hound of the Baskervilles, but I looked up The Gang's All Here after reading your post and it looks like a lot of fun so I've added to my wishlist for next time.

You haven't LIVED until you've met the "Lady With the Tutti-Frutti Hat," the incomparable Ms. Carman Miranda!

I wonder how fast Theater of Blood might sell out. I get paid two days after the pre-order date and am mixed if I should hold money from this upcoming paycheck or not.

I would guess a month at the VERY least. All these sales have trained people to not jump on anything. Even Vampires took months to sell out, and that's the kind of 80s/90s mainstream movie horror fans usually go nuts for.

Good point. I just figure it's a classic Price film so who knows but I'll chance waiting 2 days after the pre-order date.

I wouldn't worry about it. It's been out on Blu-ray for a while in the UK so that will cut down on the demand somewhat.

How much buzz have you seen on these boards about it? Pretty much none. For months before the Blob came out, there were people constantly posting things like "when is the Blob coming out", "when can I order the Blob?" That was the key that it would be popular. Anytime you see non-regulars on this thread asking questions like that, you know it'll be a hot item. Since the announcement, there's been a couple comments about how similar TOB is to Dr. Phibes, and some people saying the Arrow release is better and that's about it. In other words, I wouldn't sweat it if I were you.

I'll never let go of my SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL SHERIFF blu-ray. I got for 19.95. Wouldn't buy it for $29.95 but at the lower price I jumped and am now very glad I did.

Why? The commentary track on SHERIFF. It was great and got me to order James Garner's memoir, "The Garner Files," which was even better. I never appreciated Garner that much before, but now, I think the guy was great.

Just ordered Cutter's Way, Panic in Needle Park, Hound of the Baskervilles and Romeo is Bleeding as well as the promo copy of 10 Rillington Place. Hoping there's no Canada Post strike or lockout before they can ship it to me.
