I think that has a strong possibility of happening. I'd be willing to bet that disc sells a lot better than the BD-R would if Sony decides to go that route.

If they put it out I will likely get it for the better encode, possible new extras and booklet. Might sell my OOP TT for big bucks to people on ebay who hate importing for whatever reason. Hope it happens.

I just looked again at the Powerhouse/Indicator thread, and of the 12 titles they have announced, 9 of them are TT titles as well. Pun intended, that batting average is a pretty strong indicator that "Fright Night" (along with some other Sony titles TT has released/will release) could very well be on their docket in the near future.

"Two for the Road"~ Audrey Hepburn, need I say more...but a gentle word for those who may not have seen it~ it might seem a bit '60's-ish cute and serendipitously giddy to some...

"Roman Holiday" on the other hand~ the Holy Grail!!

Yes, sales on limited edition is a double edged sword. The more sales (or the better the sales, like the 7 for $70, wow), it creates a snowball effect whereas more and more people wait for sales on new titles as well and in effect creates the need for even more and better sales down the road. Good for us though, as in the end we end up paying closer to what their competitor's prices street at, but not so "good" as to get the point where the business model is no longer sustainable.

I wouldn't be surprised if TT has been able to get a slightly better licensing rate from the studios as the years have gone on and they got more titles. Combine that with releasing 5-6 titles a month instead of 1-3 like they did in their earlier days (2011-13) and it likely makes sales more viable - especially for titles that have not sold as well and are getting close to or have past the 3-year exclusive window.

Hopefully that's the case as they easily put out the better catalog movies (between non-Criterion distributors) and it's in everyone's best interest that they can continue to make a profit.

I bet half the copies of Fright Night are setting unopened because scalpers refuse to let them go unless there's a huge profit.

I know that feel.
I was lucky enough to get the re-release of Fright Night considering it is my third favorite movie of all time.
But I am up poop creek having to stare at the Sinbad movies out of my reach

I think the cheapest option out there for Fright Night right now is the signed version on Tom Holland's site

If you want the Twilight Time version(s). If you're just after the film it's been released by Sony in several markets.

If TT releases Fright Night for a third time...good for them. I am sure there are titles that sell poorly and they need to make it up somehow. Plus, it gives those who did not the two previous releases a chance to own a great title from the 80's .

The Sinbad releases are not out of reach if you're region free. Definitely worth getting at an extremely reasonable price.

Default Another Fox Studio Classic coming from Twilight Time

The Keys of the Kingdom (1944) starring Gregory Peck will be released on Dec 13, 2016, by Twilight Time, according to a post on their Facebook page. Directed by John M. Stahl (Leave Her to Heaven). From a brand new transfer from Fox.

This was Peck's first of five Academy Award nominations for Best Actor (he won on his fifth try for To Kill a Mockingbird).

Also stars a young Vincent Price.

Great news. This is a magnificent film.

My bundle came in today! Hopefully I can watch a movie this weekend. Strange that Philadelphia came in a clear case.

I might have missed something here, but what would one have to do with the other?

if there is continued demand, TT can capitalize on that be releasing it a third time. if they put out 3000 more copies, then demand would go down and therefore the "scalpers" would get nipped in the bud.

Good! Nice to know a bunch of dicks lost money buying up numerous copies to over charge on Ebay and can't unload them.

Lol. I just realized that The Keys of the Kingdom has already been announced for a Dec 13, 2016, release date. I even updated the OP with that information when TT issued their latest coming lineup. Totally forgot about it.
