Twilight Time Discussion Thread

Curious about picking up "Hawaii" and "The Hawaiians" never seen them but from what I've read the transfer on "Hawaii" is pretty lousy and the movies themselves are mediocre. And since I live outside the US it's a little more expensive to 'blind buy' these.

Feels like maybe these would get a proper restoration and release at some point... but I don't know.

What are people's thoughts on these two?

I've been wanting these for a while but didn't want to pay the price. For this price I don't mind pulling the trigger.

I hesitate to mention this in this thread but if you're region-free the Arrow realllllly whoops it. Like night and day.

A piece of friendly advice, it's kind of starting to get irritating to read people posting about releases they're interested in or purchases they've just made, only for you to chime in with a reply about how the Arrow and/or Powerhouse release is way better. We get that you're a fan, but most of us here are pretty savvy and well-informed and you're coming off a bit nooby with some of these.

I am personally happy that i'll be finally be able to see this bizarro mish-mash of your typical Charles Bronson crime/action yarn and slasher film antics. Plus my movie collection's Charles Bronson section was super anemic until now.

This forum is for sharing info about discs and the best releases. I would want to know before it's too late to cancel my order that a much better and cheaper version exists. You can put me on ignore if you dislike it. P.S. This goes for The Last Detail as well, in case anyone is rushing to get it now that it's out of stock on one site. The Indicator is region-free.

Also, what the hell is "nooby" in this context? I thought that was video game speak for being a new player.

Nooby in that you bought a region free player, what, a year ago and now you're fanboying over every import label. Most people who are region free, particularly regular users on this forum, already know to check around and see what is out there and weigh out the pros and cons of every release. If someone is asking for a little advice on the best version to get, by all means chime in or even throw in a little unsolicited advice once in a blue moon, but you're doing it all the time and it's bordering on the obnoxious particularly when you post it as a direct response to something another person just bought.

Picked up Scorpio, Rollerball, and Mississippi Burning! I've never seen Scorpio, but it looked fun, and I haven't seen the latter two since middle school, so I can't wait to dig into these when they arrive. Thanks for the sale, TT!

They've had signed promos in the past while sales have been going on. They usually take place the day after that month's new releases officially come out, so if I had to guess the next one would be on March 15th.
