The only experience I have of seeing the Signal One disc in motion is from the bonus features and the TT presentation blows it out of the water. Worth it for 15.

Picked up, from the sale...
Bring Me the Head of Alfredo Garcia
Dragonwyck
The New Centurions
Next Stop, Greenwich Village

I don’t know much about Next Stop but the trailer convinced me of an order.

I discovered Next Stop back in the 90s. Even then, it was considered a "lost film". It was from the mid-70s, and never had a home video release until 1994. It had been completely forgotten. I liked it very much. Now, it's been forgotten again, but hopefully, the TT blu (which I bought already) will resurrect it, yet again. It's very enjoyable. Young Christopher Walken has a lot of charisma, and Shelley Winters could always do that perfect, overbearing Jewish mother.

I'm a big fan of Mazursky's early films, outside of the atrocious, unbelievably self-indulgent "Alex in Wonderland". "Bob and Carol and Ted and Alice", "Blume in Love", "Harry and Tonto", "Next Stop, Greenwich Village", and "An Unmarried Woman" are all fantastic. After that, he was pretty hit or miss, with the highlight being "Moscow on the Hudson". Definitely going to snag "Next Stop..." during this mini-sale.

Just curious if anyone ever bought the 7 for $70 bundle at SAE? How often do they change the movies on the list? After the next WAC sale I might buy it.

I bought a bundle once. I think it was over a year ago. They don't change the titles very often. For a while they seemed to replace titles that sold out with different ones. A few of the bundle titles sold out a few months back during a sale and I don't think they replaced them with anything.

My copies of The Hot Rock, Gloria and Rapid Fire arrived this morning. Thanks to a bookcase collapsing and sending a hundred or so Blus flying all over the apartment (my, what fun I've been having mending that and getting them back in the right order) I've only had a chance to skim them, but they look like very nice upgrades. As long as the damn thing doesn't collapse for a third time I might just get a chance to watch one of them tonight...

Making a purchase through SAE and noticed they have Runaway Train from TT. Anyone own that disc? Hows it stack up? This will be a blind buy, it looks amazing. I found out about the film after watching Electric Boogalo the Cannon films documentary. Cheers

“Runaway Train” is a great train thriller with some great action pieces. It’s a great blind buy.

Runaway Train is a phenomenal existential action pic, with Jon Voight giving arguably career-best work and a still on-fire Eric Roberts matching him every step of the way.

...but since you asked, TT's disc is smoked by Arrow's earlier, stacked release.

Default November 2018 Twilight Time Release Schedule

Here are the Twilight Time release announcements for November 2018, courtesy of the Home Theater Forum. As always, out of respect for HTF's exclusive announcement window, I will not be updating the first post of this thread until TT makes an official announcement later today.

ANTONY AND CLEOPATRA (1972) BLU-RAY - November 20th

OKLAHOMA CRUDE (1973) BLU-RAY - November 20th

THE TRUE STORY OF JESSE JAMES (1957) BLU-RAY - November 20th

THE IRON HORSE (1924) BLU-RAY - November 20th

Oh, man....a great month. Silent movie fans rejoice. The Iron Horse on Blu-ray. One of my most wanted films from director John Ford. We also get more director firepower from Nicholas Ray and Stanley Kramer, and a film directed by and starring Charlton Heston. In addition to Heston, we get other stars like George C. Scott, Faye Dunaway, Hope Lange, Robert Wagner, Jack Palance, and George O'Brien.

Antony and Cleopatra was released on DVD by Warner. Does this mean there’s a deal with Warner or does another company own it now?

This is great news. The Iron Horse is a superb film and has been one of my most sought films by John Ford. Will be buying it Day 1.

The True Story of Jesse James is the one that really jumps out at me, but I'm all in for The Iron Horse as well.
