I'm still hoping Twilight Time will release Neil Jordan's The Good Thief, starring Nick Nolte, which was/is a Fox Searchlight title. They've put out Nolte films and they've put out Neil Jordan films, so it fits, and it's an incredibly stylish neo noir piece; an absolute favorite. And there's no known HD copy yet, save for 1080i Mexican release that seems to be sucked from existence.

The Mad Room though is something I think would be perfect for labels like Twilight Time or Powerhouse. Scream have released some psycho biddy films but it's not something that most horror fans clamor for. I like when Twilight Time release long-forgotten gems that are ripe for rediscovery. |

Keep in mind that most of the horror films that TT released (don't forget the two De Palmas) sold out virtually instantaneously. As such, they helped fund more titles from the studios while the other releases took their sweet time to sell.
Personally, I'm not that into horror films, so if TT wanted to defer to other labels on those, I wouldn't be too hot and bothered. |

My favorite is probably Don’t Bother to Knock. Seriously, a suspenseful noir-ish film about Marilyn Monroe as a psycho (and suicidal) babysitter? How the hell did I not know THAT movie existed? The film itself more than exceeded my expectations, and I couldn’t believe what I was watching, especially when she (yes, Marilyn Monroe) tries to kill the kid. Just the idea of her playing a broken woman that had been institutionalized was a little sad and scary at the same time (especially since she was apparently channeling her mother in her performance). It was also nice to see the characters take a more sympathetic turn at the end too. The supporting performances were great too (Richard Widmark, Anne Bancroft, Verna Felton). Just a fascinating film in every way, and one of my best blind buys (though still probably not worth TT’s usual $30).

I don't know if these could be considered "forgotten gems" but these are some blind-buys from Twilight Time that I ended up really enjoying:
Inserts, Hardcore, Two for the Road, Our Man in Havana, How To Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, Devil in a Blue Dress, The Front. I've also enjoyed the trashy 50s melodramas Peyton Place and The Best of Everything, and also to an extent the Happy Ending. It wasn't a forgotten movie or blind buy for me, but I'm also glad they released the Hospital because that is a movie that deserves to be better known. I think it's funnier and sharper than the more highly regarded Network. |

Cutter's Way is not only the best TT blind-buy I've ever made, it's one of the best I've made period in a collection that is +1700.

How to Steal A Million was my favorite blind buy(yeah I know, it is odd not to have seen it till last year). Mississippi Mermaid was also a great blind buy especially at the low price I picked up at.
