There's a couple titles I'm probably going to pick up because I've been waiting for a price drop, any kind of price drop, before buying them but I actually kind of prefer the monthly 15/15 sales they've been doing lately. It's a good price point and there's usually only about 2-3 I want at a time so I don't overspend. And what people have been pointing out is true... I bought The Incident and Wild Bill during the last 15/15 sale and now they're going for $19.95.

I assume the Twilight Time website will be having this same sale? They pretty much always do these sales in tandem (with Screen Archives), do they not?

I ask because I have yet to receive a promotional email from Twilight Time announcing they are having a sale, whereas I did receive one from Screen Archives. Nothing on the Twilight Time website about an impending sale either.

Yes, the sales are usually concurrent, but keep in mind that some of the older titles will be available only on Screen Archives.

There's not much if anything I'll be getting this sale, but folks should really pick up The Best of Everything for $9.95 if soapy midcentury melodrama is your thing.

“The Remains of the Day” is worth it for 10 bucks. Great film, fantastic presentation and a nice healthy dose of extras.

I would recommend Fat City, if you’re are looking for a great, dad and depressing 70’s movie!

I'm going to exercise some patience, and pass on $24.95 for The Last Hurrah.
Besides, I like the idea of receiving BDs of it, and Beat The Devil in the same box, or mailer.

Seconded. It's a great movie across the board, but it's worth watching for Susan Tyrell's performance alone.

I'm probably going to pass on this sale. There's nothing I want in the lower price brackets that I don't already have. I will, however, put in another plug for All the King's Men. A noir-ish political drama based on a Pulitzer-winning novel, it took home Best Picture honors. At $6.95, it's a steal.

Two this time for myself. I might go back towards the New Year depending on how the holidays go, but some of the ones I really wanted (The Last Hurrah, Play Dirty, and Lawman) are a little rich for my blood right now so not sure.



I guess I could've waited for The Hospital as well, but it's one of those where I read the description of it and have wanted to buy it for a while so rather than risk it and wait for it to hit $15 again, I'll bite.

I picked up a baker's dozen worth of discs. Eleven were titles I have been on the fence about; two were films that I really, really want and was willing to pay a little more for:

As is true for so many of us, there are quite a few higher-priced titles I would like to acquire, but not at such meager discounts as are being offered during this particular sale. I just didn't want to wait too much longer to pick up Black Widow (for obvious reasons), The Fortune Cookie (because I'm spooked by the low quantity available at the Twilight Time website) or Hawaii (I'm curious to see the roadshow version which is included as an "extra").
