I knew from Facebook that he had been having some health issues, but never knew the gritty details. Posted a picture recently from a hospital bed. Sad news to hear about. He has some pretty interesting credits and quite the list of accomplishments. Another sad historian loss.

I knew he had been battling cancer for some time. He had been posting up until January 9th, but there had been a break and I was hoping it wasn't for the worst.

That's awful, very sad to hear. RIP Mr. Redman, just listened to his fantastic commentary on "The Incident" with Larry Peerce. Seemed like a very intelligent and thoughtful guy.

Back when I spent six days in the hospital last year due to a ruptured appendix, Nick Redman did a favor for me that I will remember for the rest of my life. On top of that, I always got a kick out of his commentary tracks, and I enjoyed interacting with him.

As an avid soundtrack collector, my CD collection would be full of holes were it not for Redman's tireless preservation of great film music, and he was an erudite and intelligent speaker on countless commentary tracks. Redman will be missed.

The work Nick Redman did with the 20th Century Fox’s film score library was massive. He rescued so many film scores and his work in that field grew beyond Fox film scores to other studios.

It is the main reason when many bashed Twilight Time’s business model I wanted to shake sense into them that Nick’s knowledge was more immersive in the field than they ever knew.

My thoughts are with Julie Kirgo and his family. It is devastating.
