Alan K. Rode's review of Moby Dick and the Twilight Time blu-ray:
https://alankrode.com/thar-she-blows/ One of the most impressive restorations I've seen and easily TT's best blu-ray. |

Just an FYI for anyone who may have missed out on the Twilight Time releases of these two films, I picked these up from Amazon Spain. They are both official Sony releases and after doing a quick spot check and comparison with the screencaps on here, they appear to be the exact same transfers.
The only bonus features on each blu-ray is the trailer. ![]() ![]() |

So do they not offer the deal anymore where if you buy all 4 pre-orders, you get them for $24.95? This is the first month where I've been interested in all 4.
I also noticed in case it hasn't already been mentioned, that Hussy is a run of 2000, not 3000. |

Not for a few more days I'm afraid - I've currently got a houseguest whose movie watching tastes are strictly limited to a) comedies and b) French films (specifically French comedies). Which is a real pisser because a stack of Westerns and dramas turned up on my doorstep the same day.

First I have a question for anyone . Didn't the title The Eddy Dutchin Story sell out from the 2016 list ? I ask as it is not showing out of print on page 1 ?
I am only asking as I do not see this at twilight time or SAE ? Also just putting it out their that I really hope the next twilight time sale has $6.99 . $9.95 & $14.95 titles and many of them . I am hoping to buy many next time around but speaking for myself I do not like the sales that only offer titles at $19.95 & above it does not feel like much of a sale IMO . Also as well anyone interested SAE only has 6 x units remaining of Hardcore until they are sold out . Lastly I really hope twilight time releases The Left Hand of God on Blu ray that would be fantastic . |

There are several releases listed as «sold out» in TTs «release schedule» (per Facebook post May 18th) not included on page 1. This being one if them.

Specifically, in addition to The Eddy Duchin Story, Hawaii is also sold out, but not listed as so on Page 1.

Yes, The Eddy Duchin Story -- DUCHIN, not Dutchin -- was announced as sold out on April 1st on TT's Facebook page. Along with, as captveg mentioned -- Hawaii.

Here are the Twilight Time release announcements for August 2019, courtesy of the Home Theater Forum. As always, out of respect for HTF's exclusive announcement window, I will not be updating the first post of this thread until TT makes an official announcement later today.
THE TALL MEN (1955) BLU-RAY -- August 20 WHIRLPOOL (1949) BLU-RAY -- August 20 (edit: a few years ago TT said they were waiting on a new 4K transfer - I will contact TT asking for confirmation) WILD IN THE COUNTRY (1961) BLU-RAY -- August 20 Only three titles for August, but they are good ones. We get Gene Tierney, Clark Gable, Robert Ryan, Elvis Presley, Hope Lange, Tuesday Weld, Jane Russell, Millie Perkins, Richard Conte, and Jose Ferrer. Directors are Otto Preminger, Raoul Walsh, and Philip Dunne. Last edited by oildude; 06-15-2019 at 12:04 PM. |
