I quite enjoyed House of Bamboo. That was my first Fuller film. Is the style of this film fairly consistent w/ his other work? My wife and I had a good time providing our own running commentary a la Mystery Science Theater to all of the sexual innuendo.

Great film to look at, too. ..and the story was tight enough to sustain good interest. Not great, but fun.

If you purchased from Screen Archives, I would just contact them. They're very good at responding to concerns such as this.

Indeed they are. I had a sale order that included "At Close Range" but the replacement booklet wasn't sent with the order. Gave them a quick e-mail, and they got another booklet out to me very quickly.

I just sent them an e-mail with my order number (showing I did indeed order "At Close Range") and said there wasn't a replacement booklet included. Simple as that.

Coin flip sounds about right. I've heard of people receiving it with theirs, and of course I did not, but they were very responsive once I sent them an e-mail asking for one and gave them my order number.

Anyway, how will I know if I have the old or the new one?
How different is the new one? The letters are another color or bolder?

The new booklet has white type against a black background that is easy to read. The old booklet has a very dark gray type against that same black background that is virtually impossible to read. You'll see what I mean. And anyone willing to sell that thing on EBay has pretty much no scruples whatsoever.

The new booklet should come separate in a plastic wrapper, while the Blu-ray case will contain the old one. I don't believe they went back, unwrapped and replaced the cases with the new booklet; they simply just send the new booklets along and simply forgot to add mine with my order.

The listing does state it's the one with faint type... People will buy anything, particularly if they think the faint type makes it rare and valuable.

Well, in the worlds of stamp and coin collecting, mis-printings/stampings are considered highly collectible.

I imagine that whoever bought it has the Blu-ray with the corrected booklet, and thinks that if he has both booklets, it'll be more valuable.

That's a good point and a possibility; I didn't think of it that way. I was just viewing it in more pragmatic terms (selling a booklet that's virtually impossible to read).

Hello, I just wanted to say I just discovered this Twilight Time thread, after being stuck in the Criterion thread for the past 3 1/2 years!

Thanks, jayembee, for illuminating me... although I could have found this thread on my own. But just a few hours ago I finally caught the Twilight Theme contagion, and now I am suddenly infected by them, having just created an account on their website and have 5 movies added to my wishlist.

I only own 1 Twilight Time movie as far as I know (and almost 250 Criterions). The 1 film I have is Crimes and Misdemeanors. That is about to change soon enough!
