Did you order it separately or with other titles from last months releases? If it's the latter does your order status show two tracking numbers under your order status; one from last month's shipment and one for this one?

Does anyone know anything about La Bambola Di Satana?

Information is scarce. I hadnt ever heard of it until TT announced it. The cover makes it look interesting but I know sometimes covers can be deceiving lol

Preorders from the 5th, I ordered Hawaii and The Last Detail. Tracking shows them scheduled to arrive on Tuesday.

Just got my copy of Bound for Glory, and skipped around a bit to look at the PQ. It doesn't look great. A bit disappointed.

(It doesn't look terrible but I got my hopes up for a transfer that'd really pop; it'll probably get like a 3.5/5 from here or so.)

Sorry to hear that. Frankly, I have lower expectations for the MGM/UA titles than I do for any of the Sony and Fox titles, just based on my experiences with KLSC.

Twilight Time just put out what they're given. Sony are crazy cool cats and have scanned pretty much everything they own in new 4k masters. MGM? Not so much.

Watched the Blu-Ray of "At Close Range" tonight. It's the first time I'd seen it in a while, and man it's a bleak, depressing film. But it's also an overlooked gem. Christopher Walken plays one of the meanest dudes of all-time in this. It's a shame that Walken has almost been turned into a bit of a clown by a bunch of hipsters who tend to view his idiosyncracies in this ironic, "Hardee-har-har, look at how quirky Walken is" kind of way. But Walken was such a great actor in his prime. His performances in "At Close Range" and "The King of New York" are two of the best balancing acts of charm and chilling menace in recent memory. "At Close Range" is one of the last movies you'd want to watch with your significant other on a romantic evening, but a hard-hitting, brutally unflinching look at a family drawn into organized crime. It's probably one of the least glamorized looks at organized crime that I have ever seen.

watched it too last night ( weird coincidence), it is indeed a forgotten gem.
there is one execution scene in a lake that looks amazing on blu. Strong acting by Sean Penn and Christopher Walken but if forgot what a great supporting cast this had : Crispin Glover, Mary Stuart Masterson, Candy Clark, Kiefer Sutherland, Criss Penn , David Strathairn, Stephen Geoffreys, Tracy Walter, .....

It does have a terrific cast. Walken's gang is filled with great character actors. Strathairn has barely any lines, but it's a testament to his skill as an actor that his character really registers. Glover is bizarre as always. That scene when he is introduced had me laughing so hard. He was kind of doing the same stuff he did in "River's Edge. Masterson is really strong as well. That scene with her and Walken in the hotel room is really brutal. Walken plays such a piece of scum. It's a real shame that Chris Penn let his weight and other issues get the best of him. He was a hell of a good actor. And the scene you speak of by the lake is incredible. When Walken turns around and gives Penn the "Shhh" sign, it's very chilling.

Just had a thought, I guess this leave Sony open to release any current top sellers like Fright Night open for a 4K release, unless TT also has dibs on a 4K release, which brings me to my next thought I wonder if TT will jump on the UHD bandwagon.

If UHD becomes a rampaging success then sure, but I don't think that's likely. Sony aren't even making a UHD player yet until the format proves itself.

I'm sure that Sony will release some movies on UHD BD that have been released by TT. Several of them are already available as digital downloads from there 4K Unlimited store. As for TT itself, IMO it's not a question of if, but when they will release on UHD BD. After all, Shout already has launch titles announced. It's significant to note because no minor distributor on Blu-ray (nor HD DVD) were releasing on the format until many months after launch. I don't think the format is going to be as ultra-niche as many may think.
