I'd hate to rain on anybody's parade, but I had a first-class order from SAE that was "picked up" by the USPS in Lynden, VA on January 12th. Since then, according to the online tracking service, my shipment has yet to surface anyplace else.
Was there a huge snowfall in the state of Virginia back on the 12th of this month? I'm on the left coast, so I'm not too knowledgeable about east coast weather. |

Having fallen behind on my TT orders due to the holidays and work travel, I was finally able to catch up on most of my wanted list from December and January. Ordered these late last night from SAE:
The Last Detail Hawaii Born Free The Detective Kings Go Forth 1984 Harlock: Space Pirate Scorpio The Wild Eye (Scorpion Releasing) plus a couple of soundtracks Got my shipping notice at noon today. SAE is still the best as far as I am concerned. ![]() ![]() Last edited by oildude; 01-22-2016 at 06:24 AM. |

I picked up
Salvador All the King' Men Broadway Danny Rose Nashville Girl (Scorpion) Grizzly (Scorpion) Brute Corps (CR) Deadly Hero (CR) I do really want The Last Detail, 1984, and Bound for Glory, but looking at the last couple years anniversary sales, they will almost certainly be included, so I can wait a couple months. But it is not clear if the older titles like Salvador, etc will be included. And since a sale of any type is so rare one SAE, I happy to take the chance. If I can just keep my wallet in my pocket during February. Is Man in the Dark any good? I do like most noir, but I have read some so so reviews. |

I ordered:
Born Free and Man In The Dark 3-D using the 20% off code. I also picked up a soundtrack to ease the pain of their shipping costs. I am going to save the Harlock coupon for their eventual annual sale and hope it doesn't expire by then since they haven't given an expiration date on it. If one of their guys could pop in and give a little more info on this coupon, that would be appreciated. Thanks. |

That's a good savings, but the question is, should I wait until there is a bigger sale in the future to buy half a dozen titles I've been thinking about? I heard that on the annual anniversary sales, one can save $10 on each TT release (they go for $29.95 instead of $39.95). Can you or anyone else confirm this is true?

The SAE coupon applies to all titles available for purchase now, so if you want anything from December 2015 until today, I would jump. Another way to look at the SAE 20% off code is that you pay about the same price per title as if you were taking advantage of a signed promo, without the limitation of being among the 100 or so people fortunate enough to snag one of these when they are offered. Perhaps it's better on a 3D display (I watched in 2D), but seeing it once was enough for me. It's not that it was bad, it just was rather dull for being noir and also not that memorable. IMHO.

This is a link to the OP listing the titles available in last year's sale. https://forum.blu-ray.com/showpost.p...71&postcount=1 Yep, that is about what I heard. If it comes up in the $19.95 sale, I may pick it up. I can always unload it if I hate it Last edited by drb124; 01-22-2016 at 08:10 PM. |

As my fellow Canadians can attest, our dollar is almost as bad as when it was called the "Canadian Peso" when I was child (when it was worth $0.63 USD), so any deals to be had from Twilight Time Blu-rays are always appreciated! I only picked up The Last Detail and Used Cars, which I've been meaning to pick up for a while (a recent viewing of Big Trouble in Little China reminded me that I still hadn't picked it up).

I remembered enjoying Man in the Dark 3D. It was an average movie, but the rollercoaster scene and the 3D in general made it a lot more fun to watch than it otherwise would have been.
Any 3D BD movie from the 50's I have to own and this is just another of those. |

I am indeed going to jump at this opportunity now and purchase 1984 and Born Free, two new titles that are brand new. I meant to say $29.95, not $39.95. |
