What they have said is once the 3 year window is over they have first dibs for another pressing. They never implied there would never be any re-issues. Honestly, what is the problem? People complain about films going OOP right away, then complain when there is a re-issue. There is no rule set in stone on anything of this. When it comes to catalog titles on Blu-ray, be happy that you are still getting titles. Because physical media is dwindling and may cease to exist 10 years from now.

I think you could count out Wild at Heart since Rollerball was announced and The Train is confirmed. The fourth will be Bring Me the Head of Alfredo Garcia because sales were brisk and Nick Redman is a huge Peckinpah fan.

I bought the Twilight Time Rollerball, used, awhile back. I wonder if the TT Rollerball re-issue will have additional special features?

I believe baheidstu was referring to the below post by TT and his disappointment that there might not be any more reissues after this year.

With regard to THE BIG HEAT, MYSTERIOUS ISLAND, and their new extras, when we first started licensing from Sony extras were precluded, but now, as our relationship with them has solidified, that position has softened and we took the opportunity to do something different. With JOURNEY TO THE CENTER OF THE EARTH at Fox, we were offered a fantastic new 4k transfer.

The 4 MGM/UA reissues this year will all be essentially the same as the previous releases, so little need to "double-dip." We are aiming these toward the people that missed out first time around and have written to us asking for a second chance, and as stated earlier, that will be the end of the reissue program - in the 5 short years that TT has been in business, the home video world has changed exponentially. And, as a result, studios, and boutique labels will constantly have to realign with the new market forces, and be adaptable to any variant. It is our desire to keep on giving what home theater enthusiasts want, and in order to do that decisions have to be made that will always be unpopular with a segment of the community, but hopefully beneficial to the majority. If we don't, we'll have to pick up our chips and find another game.
I'm disappointed we won't see another Enemy Mine reissue.

Like I said before, not reissuing a movie just opens the door for another movie that hasn't been released at all on Blu-ray. Look at the bright side. IMO, Blu-ray in general has far too many reissues and too few debut releases. The format as it is releases only a fraction of the catalog that DVD does.

Always good to see another Nicholas Roeg film, so I'm down for Eureka.

I'm also interested in Rollerball as I missed out on that blu-ray when it sold out.

I had been hoping for an eventual Hard Times reissue (with new commentary), but I guess I'll have to pay Ebay prices. I haven't heard anything about a potential UK release.

The last two anniversary sales were in March but they just had a sale in December so only time will tell if there will be another sale so soon afterward.

A cute-as-a-button Jane Fonda, Nat King Cole, Stubby Kaye, Lee Marvin and a drunken horse. What's not to love? Cat Ballou may not be the funniest comedy western ever (that distinction goes to Blazing Saddles), but it's my favorite. Very re-watchable.

I may double-dip on Fallen Angel then, as it's one of my favorites (obviously). I'm fine with the BFI of Whirlpool, as I never really warmed to the movie.

I did not read that. My bad. :-)

Still, never say never. Journey to the Center of the Earth they re-released because Fox created a new 4k transfer and they could not pass it up.

On the company's Facebook page, a rep stated that the contents will be identical to the original release.

Does anyone have a list of other reissues that they're planning on releasing down the future? (i'm assuming it'll be one or two other titles known to us at best for the moment).

This year 4 MGM/UA titles, the just announced Rollerball, plus Thunderbolt & Lightfoot (April) The Train (later this year) and a 4th which I am going guess to be Bring Me the Head of Alfredo Garcia.

Thunderbolt and Lightfoot, obviously, and the other two would come from the following list:

Bring Me the Head of Alfredo Garcia
The Train
Wild at Heart

The Member of the Wedding (1952) is directed by Fred Zinnemann, one of the greats of cinema. I have never seen it, but I am most definitely in for this one. Based on the 1946 novel by Carson McCullers and a subsequent stage play adaption (with many of the play's cast starring in the movie), it is a coming of age story set in the South. It was the film Zinnemann made between High Noon and From Here to Eternity.

The more Zinnemann we get on Blu-ray, the more that is right with the world.
