On Facebook, when asked if there would be a sale soon, Twilight Time responded with this:

All through this thread are those of us trying to pin them down, my turn was a couple of weeks ago.
They never commit.
They're good.

I've been tending to purchase the films where all the major players are already deceased as whatever I tend to buy ends up as a signed promo after a few months

Why is the bluray of 10 Rillington Place presented in 1.66:1 ratio when IMDB says its should be 1.85:1?

I wouldn't go by IMDB for specs, they are wrong quite a bit of the time

DVD Beaver says 1:85 too. http://www.dvdbeaver.com/film2/DVDRe...gton_place.htm

CineOutsider says :

" Whether the aspect ratio is the correct one is another matter – it never really feels wrong, but the Columbia logo that opens the film certainly looks cropped and the opening title itself is a little tight in frame. Given the film's age, an aspect ratio of 1.85:1 or, at a push, 1.66:1, seems likely, and TV cut-off can be an unforgiving beast. That aside, this is a very fine transfer that exceeded my own expectations of the disk. "

As a UK film of that period, the movie having an original 1.66:1 ratio that got reformatted to 1.85:1 for US presentation seems to be quite possible. It wasn't uncommon.

Only 40 copies left of Journey to the Center of the Earth. Don't miss out and secure your copy now before it's too late.

What's going to make them worthless? At a minimum, people get to enjoy the film, in HD, for five years.

Who knows if Journey to the Center of the Earth will be released in 4k uhd? Probably will but this version is definitely worth having until then.

I'm not sure what I said but if a movie that has a 4k scan and doesn't get released in 4k....makes you wonder. But don't worry, I'm not holding my breath for It! The Terror From Beyond Space to get a uhd release

What do you think the chances of TT re-releasing Wild at Heart will be? That is the one sold out title I missed out on that I wish I would have bought when available.
