Yeah, "The Blob" was a 5,000 quantity release. The impression I'm under is that the only "encore" editions they have in store are "Mysterious Island" (already out), "The Big Heat" (already out), "Thunderbolt and Lightfoot" (just up for pre-order), "Rollerball" (coming soon), and I believe "The Train" is the last one.

There's a couple titles I missed out on that I wouldn't mind them reissuing, but if those are it, those are it.

Quick question about (pre)ordering through TwilightTime.com: I placed an order on the 30th and got confirmaiton, etc. however when I log in and check order status it says "Awaiting Payment."

Does anyone know if this is common and just confusing verbiage or is there perhaps an issue with my order/payment?

I ordered through them before (Last Detail) not long ago but cant remember if the same thing happened or not. Any help would be appreciated.

I was just thinking:
Maybe the sale we're all waiting for takes place in the summer at TT's site, to celebrate the site's 1 year since launch.

Assuming that the titles you ordered on the 30th were April pre-orders and you're using a credit card...

When you complete your order, Twilight Time submits a pre-authorization on your credit card, just to make sure it's valid. This pre-auth charge goes away in a day or three. The actual charge doesn't happen until they're ready to ship. That's why your order is "awaiting payment".

Was only going to get Thunderbolt & Lightfoot but ended up ordering Chato's Land as well, because of Bronson and Winner. I'm very hot and cold on Westerns, sometimes I hate them and sometimes I love them, so we'll see. It's a blind-buy obviously.

At this point I'd just like complete confirmation that Chato's Land is the international version before ordering.

Chato's Land is one of my favorite Bronson films and I'm elated that we're finally getting it in Hi-def; should look far superior to my crappy MGM DVD.

My one criticism of the film though is:
[Show spoiler]How the hell do you get Bronson and Palance in the same movie and not have them share a scene? That could have been one of the manliest confrontations ever.

You might want to update the specs on your web site (and tell SAE to do the same). The running time says "100 minutes", when the full cut is 110 minutes.

There is no 110 minute version of the film and there never has been. The International cut is exactly the same running time as the U.S. the difference is only in replacement scenes - not length.

Can you give us a clue which Harryhausen title you're prepping for release later this year? I'm hoping it's The 3 Worlds of Gulliver. Sony has given you great scans of their RH movies.

Oh, OK. Most of the sources I've seen give its running time as 110 minutes. I'm not just talking about on-line sources, but reference books like Brian Garfield's Western Films: A Complete Guide, though I also just checked The Overlook Film Encyclopedia: Westerns, which says it's 100 minutes.

Yep, you answered your own question. The difference mostly concerns nudity - in the U.S. version when Chato's wife is taken from her house and raped - she is clothed - in the International version she is naked. There are a few other minor differences in a couple of scenes. But nothing affects the running time which is 100 minutes in every territory.

Nope, only SAE knows that since they haven't announced their next sale.
