I just saw today's news. Future entry into the Twilight Time collection*, Gene Wilder, the original and only Willy Wonka, has passed. Looks like one of the greatest comic actors of any generation finally found his Golden Ticket. Together again with Gilda. RIP, sir, and Godspeed; you were a big and wonderful part of my childhood.

I wanted to thank rdodolak for posting this morning about the imminent demise of High Time and The Song of Bernadette. I had been waiting until the next signed promotion to couple with the discounted bundle, thinking that the titles would last until then, but with such low numbers, I had to bite. Ended up with the fourth to last copy of High Time and the I believe the 29th to last copy of Bernadette, along with all the other BD's in the offer except Cover Girl and The Disappearance (already owned both) and Mindwarp (don't like the movie) and The Only Game in Town, which lost to Pony Soldier for the last spot in my bundle.

I think TT was the one with the wrong numbers on those two titles, not SAE. The cart trick seems to show 50+ copies of both titles with SAE.

Now realized that Eye of the Needle was composed by Miklos Rozsa after seeing the back cover. It also includes the audio commentary with a music historian! This is really intriguing. I guess this commentary & the isolated score add great values to this Blu-ray for the film music fans.

Definatly picking up 9 To 5 & Remo but curious about everyones thoughts on Murphy's Law.
I really like Bronson in Death Wish, 10 Til Midnight, The Mechanic not a fan of westerns or the other TT title where he was a fighter during the Depression or something like that. Drawing a total blank on the title right now lol |

I'm glad that I picked up a copy of High Time last week.
Over the weekend, I watched La moglie piu bella and enjoyed it. I love Italian cinema of the 60's and 70's, and although I wouldn't rank it as one of my all-time favorites, it was certainly well worth my time. The location shooting in Sicily was good. Alessio Orano does a good job, but Ornella Muti is fantastic, an incredible debut performance from her at the age of 14. I would probably rank her performance here ahead of Catherine Spaak's impressive starring debut at the age of 15 in I dolci inganni (though Spaak had a bit of previous experience on the big screen). Thanks to TT for bringing us Italian films such as this on blu-ray. If you have any interest in Italian films of that era, then I'd say check this one out. It has some good special features, which appear to have been ported over from the 2006 No Shame DVD, and you can get this blu-ray for a lower price than the current DVD price at Amazon. I only wish that we could have heard from Muti about her debut performance. |

I want to order up a few of these, but frankly would rather wait a little bit. TT seems to be putting items on sale more frequently. At $30 a pop, it seems a $10 off sale will be coming and I don't think these will sell out any time soon. Seems like TT has taken away some of the urgency from their business model. I always felt like I 'needed' to pre-order some of the more popular releases to make sure I get one. Now, it frankly doesn't feel that way...

The way I read this, it sounds like you think this is a bad thing!?

That Time Out pull-quote for Murphy's Law is pretty funny, but it would have been even better if they hadn't deleted the final half of the sentence (bolded):
