So the way I understand it is this. Even though Sony is the current copyright holder for The Big Heat, the copyright expiry is set at 70 years from the death of the last surviving author, which is defined as either the director (Fritz Lang), the screenwriter (Sydney Boehm), or the composer (Henry Vars), whoever died last. In this case, since Sydney Boehm slipped this mortal coil in 1990, the copyright won't expire until 2060.
And to think, I once wanted to go to law school. Sheesh. |

I put it in my BD drive and it's apparently not a BD-R, but still, I really don't want to support this and it's still effectively a knock-off. The Big Heat cover art from TT is a thing of beauty too. |

I came across, again, the promotional flyer from the Dec 2015 releases which was advertising the monthly contest where one winner would be selected each month to win the following month's releases. I wonder what ever happened with that?

Heads up:
Mindwarp enters the low quantity list with less than 400 copies remaining. I have updated the low quantity alert in the first post of this thread. Mindwarp has been reduced to $14.95 on TT's website only. Quote:
It is part of the 7 for $70 bundle at Screen Archives but ordering it by itself on SAE still shows full price. Last edited by oildude; 09-06-2016 at 12:00 AM. |

I don't recall if this has been posted yet or not.
The Seven-Ups (1973) starring Roy Scheider is coming from Twilight Time in the future with a new 4K transfer. Quote:

Yes, I mentioned it a while back on this thread because I had asked them the same question. The also have the rights to the Hot Rock but the transfer is a bit iffy and they're waiting on a better one.

Could any one offer some insight on Mindwarp? I don't know much about it, I like both Angus Scrimm and Bruce Campbell but I feel like I read a review saying that Bruce is only in this for half the run time and it drags when he is not on screen. It's tempting at $15.

After all of my gripes directed at Twilight Time, I finally added one of their releases with Mindwarp. A movie I had initially ordered early last year but had to cancel through an Amazon seller due to a personal tragedy.
Good job, guys. Cheaper than getting it off Amazon. |
