No problem. It's what I get for waiting. I have a feeling a few of their low quantity titles are gonna sell out during this sale. They also announced The Sound And The Fury is now sold out.

I got five titles for a little over 60 bucks and change. Not bad. I finally got Jean Renoir's Swamp Water. Its been on my wishlist for awhile.

Seeing quite a few people picking up Swamp Water. It sounds like a good movie. I probably should have added it to my order yesterday, but perhaps I'll put in another with it included.

Trying not to go super crazy with spending since I have so many movies on my Amazon wishlist but I picked up 1984 with John Hurt.

There's another one, that makes at least 3 so far that were not on the low quantity alert. Is the first post not get updated? What's the deal??

It's a good one. I just watched it for the first time this week. Jean Renoir's American debut if memory serves. Looks beautiful, good story and characters. A pretty dark story set in a small town backed up to an impenetrable Georgia swamp. Seems like a focus that not many movies share, and I'm always intrigued by American movies with foreign directors for what it's worth.

Oildude updates the OP all the time based on the alerts sent out by Twilight Time and / or SAE. It's entirely possible that that many people snapped up these titles before they were even on the low quantity radar. If people are bothered by missing out on certain titles because they're now sold out, maybe that was one you should have bought earlier.

My point is other titles have been on the list for months listed with "500 remaining" etc. Yet "The Way We Were" and "Cover Girl" just up and sold out so fast they didn't have time to make it on the alerts??

What a great opportunity to finally purchase those "Yeah, I want to get this, but....." titles that end up on your "Someday" list. Well, that someday is here! Looks like I snagged "In Like Flint" just before it sold out, to go along with "Pony Soldier" and "Drums Along the Mohawk." This has been quite the early Christmas!

I think that was their objective... especially the 75% titles....

Could be. Oildude can only update the OP based on the info he receives. If those titles have sold out without showing up on the low quantity alert, we can only assume that either (a) Twilight Time have dropped the ball on letting us know or (b) people are taking advantage of the deals and buying all they can. I know I was lured by the 75% off titles and figured at the same time I'll pick up some 50% off titles. If everyone has that mindset, it's not surprising titles have leapfrogged the low quantity status and gone straight to sell-out.

Which brings me back to my original point. There's nothing that has sold out that hasn't been available for years, so if anyone is miffed at missing out on a certain title then you should have bought it back when you had the chance.

Yeah, they've been working hard for a while trying to clear those out, even lowering it to $10 each a month or two back failed to do the trick.
