My orders with SAE are still "Pending." I haven't actually heard that anything has shipped out from them in the last several days. I just hope that they haven't shut down for Thanksgiving week. I assume that they're slammed by the sale and the new TT titles.

![]() Completely agree with you about the score; the theme gets me every time, as does Richard Burton's incredible narration. The TT release is a must-own. |

Given that over the years I've ordered about 55 TT titles and 17 of them still unwatched with 2 still in their shrinkwrap how slow or quickly SAE ships my orders is really a moot point with me. They're always reliable and I'm in no hurry.

Take a deep breath. I'm sure everyone's going to get their order/orders, just like a lot of the previous posts have stated. My orders have been mixed but I'm confident everything will be okay. 2 of 3 have shipped

I just looked back through my purchase history and I've ordered 11 times from SAE previously to this sale. When not taking into account a pre-order, sometimes they've done amazing and literally have the package out the door the next day. Sometimes, it's taken as long as 8 days for them to ship an order (contained 5 movies). None were pre-ordered and there was no sale going on at the time in these orders.
So to anyone concerned, I'd say no worries. Sometimes they're a little slower, but like everyone else has said, they're pretty reliable and the packaging is usually first class (never had a single disc arrived damaged I don't believe). If it can take up to 8 days to ship a regular order during a non-massive sale, as frustrating as it may be, during a sale like this, it might take them a bit of time to get everything ready and shipped out. |

FWIW, I've placed two sale orders: a 12-title order placed on 11/16 which shipped yesterday and is due to arrive tomorrow, and an 8-title order placed on 11/18 which is still pending.
Also, my November pre-orders (4-title order including "Moby Dick") are still in pending status. I'm pretty pleased that I'll be able to dive in to the first order of sale titles tomorrow. ![]() |

It's a shame some people have missed out on a few titles that have just been sold out (such as First Men in the Moon) but they've been around for a while (some much longer than anticipated). It really comes down to if you want a movie don't hesitate to purchase it if it's a high priority title. I understand sale pricing is tempting but you'll always run the risk of missing out.

That's my view as well. My backlog log is probably in the three digits right now so whether I get a shipment fast or slow has little impact on me unless I have a hardcore hankering for a specific title (which likely would be one of the many other titles I haven't watched yet in my collection).

I went back for one more sale order... after grabbing Bite the Bullet last week, I scrolled through TT's catalog and found 3 more pre-2016 releases that, at $14.95 or less, I couldn't pass on... so my purchases this sale are:
Bite the Bullet House of Bamboo Royal Flash Violent Saturday I believe I've now fully mined TT's pre-2016 releases and have purchased all the titles that I wish to own. I still have a few 2016 releases to grab in future sales. |

Per Facebook; Twilight Time has officially passed on The Lion in Winter. They could not license the Studio Canal restoration and the MGM master is not good enough to consider releasing.

That's a shame. It's definitely one of my Top 100 films of all time, and would have made an ideal Twilight Time release, thanks to John Barry's incredible score. The DVD features an isolated music track, which I've played over and over. I was really hoping Twilight Time would end up releasing the blu-ray.

Good to know. I've been thinking about getting the UK release from Studio Canal anyway.

Three of my six orders are officially out the door:
THE MAN FROM LARAMIE (1955) COUNT YORGA, VAMPIRE (1970) BROKEN LANCE (1954) THE MECHANIC (1972) UNDER FIRE (1983) FAT CITY (1972) EMPEROR OF THE NORTH (1973) I've never seen The Mechanic despite being a big Bronson fan, so I'm looking forward to it. The Jason Statham remake didn't leave a lasting impression despite being worth a look. |
