You can order up to 30 copies of any particular title at the TT site, so it surely is not the cart trick.

I don't know where he got that information, but hopefully it sticks around until I make the December order tomorrow!

I hope he was right about only being 70 copies left because it forced me to buy it a month or 2 before I planned to. Hopefully wasn't a lie just to boost sales

Well there's at least 50 copies of Moby Dick at SAE (using the cart trick).

I believe the message started to become more prominent and enforced when they started distributing Code Red products. The owner of that company has had issues in the past regarding international orders disappearing (up to 28% of shipments sometimes) and it turns out that problem carried through to SAE, which is an unbelievably high amount of "lost" packages. Turns out, sleazy films attract scammers.

Please forgive me for panhandling on this website but any chance anyone has one of those 2 dollar off coupons we all got back in October they don't plan on ever using?

Well I can't answer to the $10 versus $25-$45 thing but that's not what the guy was complaining about anyway. He was implying that that message has never popped up before, when in fact it always has at least in my experience for the past four and half years of ordering from them.

Wondering how many are left at SAE..... ?
Just for the record, when a disc is released TT usually keeps about 1/3 of the discs to sell, and the other 2/3 go to SAE (according to the TT Facebook page). Of course, that doesn't say anything about how many copies of Moby Dick are left at SAE, but if those percentages are accurate, it would mean that TT has already sold 930 copies of Moby Dick. So it's selling at a brisk pace, I'd say...

I wouldn't wait on Moby Dick. I'm about to make my December pre-order and might pick up a second copy of MD....could be a worthwhile endeavor

No offense, but I hope you have to sit on that investment for many years.

My last order from the SAE sale of 18 films shipped today (placed the order on the 18th), can't wait until I can dig in and start watching some.

Also the order I placed late last night through TT's website for I Want to Live and Moby Dick has already shipped, which is awesome! More TT movies for me to watch coming up!

I guess my attempt at a joke was pretty lame. There's too many other movies to get.

I want to get a blind buy but am having trouble deciding between Count Yorga, Vampire or Scream and Scream, Again.....

Interesting observation.

I am in Australia, have ordered hundreds of US Blu-ray packages over the years, and have never had problems with them arriving. So when I saw this percentage "claim" I rolled my eyes. But your observation may explain it...

I just placed an order for...

Boxcar Bertha
The Barefoot Contessa
The 3 Worlds of Gulliver

I was initially aiming just to get the last two, but I decided to grab Boxcar Bertha as well after finding out that it is a Roger Corman production.

I actually ordered from the Twilight Time site this time, since the card glitch that they had last month has apparently been remedied.

Darren,

A small operation still has to have the resources to be sure to communicate with their exisiting customers regarding orders.

Email programs are rather inexpensive, or a part-timer just making quick emails.

I got notice today of shipping (automated) which is good, it only took them 14 days to ship an 'in stock' order.

Sorry but life's too short to deal with that.

I have never had an issue with TT and I will go back to ordering directly from them.

I went with SAE to take advantage of the TT sale so I picked up:

The 3 Worlds of Gulliver
The Black Stallion Returns
Count Yorga, Vampire

Talk about an eclectic mix of movies.

My signed copy of At Close Range and 24 other films shipped today!

I placed my order about five minutes after the sale started on 11/16, when there were only 10 signed editions left according to Twilight Time, so it looks like I lucked out.

I just attempted to preorder THE THREE WORLDS OF GULLIVER from SAE, but received some sort of "File removed or not available" message.

I'll wait awhile, and try again later.
