I'm in for Peyton Place, The Fortune Cookie, How to Steal a Million, and You'll Never Get Rich.
Perhaps Our Man in Havana as well. This latest announcement batch features Lana Turner, Rita Hayworth, and Audrey Hepburn. Sometimes, I wonder what I ever did to deserve such good fortune. Last edited by The Great Owl; 12-10-2016 at 02:08 PM. |

I remember You'll Never Get Rich as well as You Were Never Lovelier (both pairing Fred Astaire with Rita Hayworth) being quite enjoyable. I think the latter is the better of the two. I am surprised TT did not do a double feature with both but I hope they will release You Were Never Lovelier eventually.

An OK line-up of releases for April, but none I am particularly interested in owning. I'm just glad that companies like TT exist to meet the needs of classic film fans. Here's hoping that TT's long and productive relationship with Columbia/Sony will someday yield Blu-ray releases of "The Long Ships" and "Trouble with Angels." I am especially interested in the later film, and remain amazed that only one Haley Mills film has seen Blu-ray release to date, and that a limited release Disney Movie Club bare-bones effort (Albeit with a great transfer!).

Two for the Road from TT in January.
Wait Until Dark from Warner Archive in January. How to Steal a Million from TT in April. I love seeing the Audrey Hepburn bluray presence expand. I'm still anxiously waiting for Roman Holiday from somewhere but this will do for now. |

I'm definitely in for The Fortune Cookie, and How To Steal A Million and Our Man in Havana are ones I'll likely wind up buying sooner or later. |

I have a lot of nostalgia for Baby Boom. It used to air on cable all the time and I remember watching it. Don't think I need to own it, but maybe. |

Another Woman is far and away the best Woody Allen drama, in my opinion, strongly influenced by Wild Strawberries, with Gena Rowlands standing in for Victor Sjostrom. Great supporting turn by the late Sandy Dennis. To those who are fans of his non-comedic stuff, it's a must.

Excellent news! Easily one of the best line-ups I've seen from TT in a while.
Definitely in for... How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying (1967) Our Man in Havana (1959) How to Steal a Million (1966) You'll Never Get Rich (1941) ...and probably Year Of The Comet (1992) once I preview it. Looks fun! ![]() |
