Then don't. I always buy the newer releases a little bit after they come out, usually in conjunction with a signed promo and nowhere near any sales. They always ship right away.

Just out of curiosity, what is the turnaround time on shipping looking like currently for items ordered during the SAE sale?

Ordered directly from TT to avoid any sale delays. If they have release days, they should be hitting those.

Still no notice yet.

People talk about the premium we pay for shipping and handling from these companies...one would think that premium would go to the actual handling and shipping on time.

Oh, sorry, I assumed you had ordered from SAE. They seem to be having problems receiving the discs on time these days ever since Cinram moved production to Mexico. I can only assume (there I go again) that is the cause of the delay.

I'm experiencing a similar problem with an eBay purchase... it's gone back and forth between St Louis and Indianapolis 3 times now.

Mindwarp was a blind buy for me. It didn't look like something that I'd normally go for, but it was what I needed to finish off a "7 for 70" sale order. It was one of the very few discs (LDs, DVDs, or BDs) I've blind-bought where I asked myself, "What the hell was I thinking?"

My first order was placed on Friday, 11/18. It shipped on Firday, 12/2, and I got it on Monday, 12/5.

My second order was placed on Friday, 12/2. I just got the shipping notice a couple of hours ago. Based on past experience I expect to get it Friday or Saturday, though with holiday shipping, I wouldn't be surprised if it came Monday.

They should give you frequent flyer miles for your order. You probably have enough to fly to wherever your order is and just take it home yourself.
