Although I haven't received any email notifications from SAE in the last month, I logged into my account and discovered a tracking number for THE THREE WORLDS OF GULLIVER. I expect that it will ship out tomorrow.

I love when that happens. Too bad it's so few and far between. Enjoy your haul

Yes, the title that was released a month ago.

That doesn't make any sense to me. I know it's been selling well but TT shouldn't be out of stock. I can't think of any other reason why it would delay any orders now

Arriving this evening, supposedly. Ordered on 11/30 through SAE.

The 3 Worlds of Gulliver arrived today along with a few other bds. Unfortunately, it's like #8 in my movie queue. I bought way too many movies over the past month with two more orders arriving by the 24th

My copy of GULLIVER wasn't picked up today from the post office in Linden, VA. I hope it ships out next week (from SAE).

Has anyone else placed an order with Screen Archives, had them charge you for the order, and then put the money back on the card? I paid for my order with a Visa gift card, and they charged the card immediately. I wrote down the remaining balance on the card, tried to use it to partially pay for a purchase today, but it ended up paying for the entire thing because Screen Archives put the money back on the card (and no, I didn't just subtract the amount of the order from the gift card, I actually checked the balance on the website to verify that the purchase had gone through). I got a refund on the card, but I'm afraid that it won't be processed before they run the card again for my order, and there's not enough on there to cover it. Between this and the ridiculous shipping times, I think I'm done with Screen Archives.

When you place your order with a charge card, they do a pre-authorization to ensure that the card is good. The pre-auth charge should show up as a pending transaction, therefore the amount is theoretically spoken for. Depending on your bank/credit union/card-issuer, the pre-auth will disappear some days after (with mine, it's 24 hours), and the money becomes available again. The card gets charged for real when they ship.

Using a Visa gift card may well complicate things, but is there a way to add balance to the gift card to cover your order? If not, you might want to email SAE and ask them to use a different card. They might want you to cancel your order, and place it again with a different card.

Unfortunately, it's a non-reloadable card. If they make me cancel and re-do the order, I'm afraid they'll put me at the back of the queue again (I've already waited 11 days for them to even ship it), and that they won't give me the sale price again. Judging from some of the customer service experiences I've read about, this doesn't seem like too far-fetched of a scenario lol.

Finally received this month's order of Gulliver, Contessa, and Key. I wish SAE was quicker, but it is what it is.

Contact Screen Archives customer service. Don't assume that they won't want to help you out. Good luck.

Give them a try, anyway. They might be perfectly willing to just let you give them an alternate card without having to cancel-and-reorder. The latter is usually easier and safer, as it goes through a secure connection. Sending a new card number, etc. via email is very risky, but you might be able to call them and give a new number over the phone.

Thanks guys, I'll call them first thing in the morning, hopefully before they try to run that payment.

What a let-down. I placed an order on the 9th, including Christmas gifts. It's getting close now (obviously) and my order still hasn't shipped. I called them on Friday. No answer. I e-mailed them. No answer (yet).

Maybe they should hire enough people so they can actually get orders out the door under ten days... particularly at Christmastime.

I understand a couple of days to process orders - but 10 days is not acceptable.

I also placed an order on the 9th that is still pending. I'm hopeful it will be shipped this week but, with the holidays here, who knows? Luckily for me, this order does not include gifts.

I got Mindwarp when they were having a signed promotion years back, because friends of mine are HUGE Bruce Campbell fans and I thought it would be a nice Christmas present (it was much appreciated). Since the movie was already out of its shrink, I figured, why not pop it in and give it a watch? I made it through the whole thing, but it was AWFUL. Only plus side is I finally knew where some vocal samples came from in some techno songs I own.
