Huh, I thought Criterion had Interiors on Hulu? Maybe they don't on their new service. Guess they won't be releasing it on Blu-Ray either way!

Who generally ships quicker, TT or SAE? I want to pre-order The Mad Magician 3D and just wondering which is more likely to send it out closer to release date.

Interiors is on FilmStruck, but it's not part of the Criterion package. Twilight Time has the rights to most of Allen's 70s and 80s work, except for the four already released by MGM.

TT ships quicker. The Mad Magician has already started to ship from there.

I don't think the color is the real problem. To me it is much more about the resolution, clarity and things of that nature. The colors felt fairly good.

I skimmed through it on my 65 OLED, which is about as good at analyzing a picture as you can get.

The color timing is supposed to be the way it should look.

Anyone who is used to seeing it in full color -- which is probably most of the people who've seen it in the last few decades -- would probably think the desaturated color looks wrong. I mean, it is jarring to watch it this way now, but I think it works well.

Are there going to be any autograph promotions in the future?

Probably, but until they actually announce them we won't know who, what, and when. They typically announce them just a few days in advance. There are several people here who follow them on Facebook. As soon as an announcement is posted there, one of those people will post a note in this thread.

Kiss of Death and Edge of Eternity are going to be mine.

I'm considering Chilly Scenes of Winter, because it stars Gloria Grahame, but that will depend on how much cash I have floating around by February 1.

I watched the first 10 mins of Comes a Horseman and was not bothered by the PQ. It looks fine IMO. I cannot wait to watch it all the way through tomorrow along with Stanley & Iris.

I never thought that "Chilly Scenes of Winter" would see a blu ray release. Although, the film is missing a lot of the wry humor and irony of the novel on which it's based, it's still a great movie. John Heard and Peter Riegert are terrific in the film. I'm certainly looking forward to pre-ordering the blu ray on February 1st.

It seems TT has a deal with Barbara Streisand, much like it has with Woody Allen. I wonder if a blu-ray release of "The Prince Of Tides" is in the works for sometime this year?

Just read Jeffrey Kauffman’s articulate and informative review of The 3 Worlds of Gulliver. By my reckoning, it’s been over six months since this website reviewed any Twilight Time movies, so I had pretty much resigned myself to the idea that Twilight Time and this website had decided, for whatever reasons, to interact no more. I hope we can infer from this new review that whatever the problem was, it’s been resolved, and we can look forward to more reviews of TT releases from now on!

According to a January 16th message on the SAE site, the latest TT titles (including THE MAD MAGICIAN) are beginning to ship.

However, my order for TMM is still listed as "Pending" on my account page.

UPDATE: My order now has a tracking number, and a label has been created.

I received my copy of Mad Magician (along with Bullet Train and Gulliver) direct from TT last week, so the discs are out there. Probably just taking a little longer from SAE.
