If it wasn't for this site I would not own all of the Twilight Time discs I own (just look at my collection). The site they seem to favor (not going to name names) has a poor layout, and a poor community in general, and honestly I don't trust anything they say since they are obviously buddies with the TT label.

Frankly, without this site and their sticky thread, TT would have folded up their tents a long time ago. I would be willing to guess this site and its members account for at least half their sales. Tough to sell a $30 disc when no one knows its available. Differences or not, this site has kept them alive....

I first learned about TT (as well as this site actually) from doing a Google search for Ray Harryhausen films when I first started getting into blu-rays. Happened to be around the time their first Sinbad release was about to go on sale, good timing otherwise I would have missed out on it since I definitely wouldn't have known about them any other way.

The website is not the center of the Blu ray universe. There are many more ways to get information on the internet.

Got my pre order in for Who'll Stop The Rain.

Also used the opportunity (been waiting for it actually) to finally order Saint Jack and Peyton Place.

And since the next few months ahead look relatively light for me in terms of must haves being released, I impulsively threw in Man In The Moon too.
Was going to wait for a sale which will no doubt include it eventually, but then I thought about it a little and this seemed like it would be a fine movie to have around to spin on a warm, lazy summer night.

I might be up for double dipping on Inferno at some point (like Mad Magician, I don't expect it to show up in any sales), but at the moment I'm getting really annoyed at double dipping on stuff I already own.

I've never seen mention of Twilight Time discs outside of Blu-ray.com, Home Theater Forum, and DVDTalk.

(I'm not a member of Home Theater Forum or DVDTalk, but I sometimes lurk at those sites. I like to imagine that they're breathing a collective sigh of relief at my not having any intention to join their forums.)

It's always astounded me that, out of all of the people in this great big wide wonderful world, there are only 3,000 or so who want Blu-rays of films like Philadelphia, Journey to the Center of the Earth, Breaking Away, Cat Ballou, Guess Who's Coming to Dinner, or The Big Heat. I chalk that up to the vast majority of people out there simply not being aware of this studio's existence.
I mean, I can kinda sorta understand why folks weren't exactly pushing through the barricades when La Bambola Di Satana went on sale, but there are a great many other Twilight Time titles that have really enjoyed the attention of the masses in decades past.

Agreed, I wasn't even aware of TT till I start frequenting this site. Out of The Big Heat, Guess Who's Coming to Dinner, Judgement At Nuremberg, A Man for All Seasons, Man Hunt and the new Audrey Hepburn films I find it hard that there are only 3,000 people who want these films.

Rock! Shock! Pop! and DVDBeaver do review TT discs, too.
CriterionForum has a dedicated thread.

This site/forum really isn't the be-all, end-all regarding information on specific distributors.

TT discs are sometimes mentioned on the CHFB (Classic Horror Film Board) in the home video thread, at least the titles that fall into the horror/sci-fi/fantasy realms. They were often listed at the IMDB when the message boards were a going concern.

Well, actually, there were at least 8000 people who wanted Journey to the Center of the Earth (minus people who double-dipped), not to mention those who bought the Australian edition.

And while the encore of The Big Heat hasn't yet sold out, there are still more than 3000 people who bought it. Plus there are at least 150 people (among the people registered at this site) who have the Sony DigiBook edition of Guess Who's Coming to Dinner.

To be honest, I learned of Twilight Time's existence from this site.

Same here. When I found out about their very first release of Fright Night in 2011.

Count me as another who had only heard of Twilight Time about 2 years ago when I started using this site. I now have over 70 TT titles. I realized after that I had seen a couple of their titles selling used on Amazon but I assumed they were some sort of import releases because of the prices and only being available from third party sellers.

But it is a place where The Owl lurks. Speaking for myself, I'd rather he lurk here than show up at my door wanting to know if I'd like to go for a 7 mile run.

I understand that Brad, but this site pretty much launched their label years ago. The interest sparked from this site and the former 'pre-order' frenzy was definitely perpetrated by this site. Many users here bought into the 'limited edition' mantra they tried to push, especially with their 'low quantity' updates. Frankly, the LE model they had pushed, turned out to be not so limited on many titles. I think that pissed off a lot of people and turned them away from the label. I guess that is for another discussion. I know about the other sites, but their information is not as extensive as it is here. The sticky thread on this site is far and away the busiest of all the sites TT are mentioned or discussed on. Frankly, I was taught many years ago not to bite the hand that....well...you guys know the rest...

It's funny you mention Harryhausen because that's exactly how I found out about Twilight Time and this site but it was their release of Mysterious Island that got me into contact with them.

I would take any of the reviews with a grain of salt. There is a pattern of some releases getting more reasonable ratings whereas other competing releases (most) always tend to get 5.0 ratings for video and audio.
