Thanks for the heads up and for the low quantity warning. Do you live in the US? Besides comparing price, do you know if buying from Indicator or Amazon UK is better (or are there other sellers of Indicator titles)?

Amazon UK has had most Indicator release (or at least all the ones I've had in my basket to track price changes on) at £19.99 or thereabouts for a while now, but they take off VAT. Indicator's own website has them at £15.99, but doesn't take off VAT. If a title is less than £19.99 on Amazon, you'll probably save at least a few pennies by ordering there, though you risk Amazon's packaging.

As far as I know, those are the only two places that sell them AND ship to the US.

Fat City is one of the best acted films I've ever seen. It left me feeling depressed though. I watched it early in the afternoon when I got my copy and felt off for the rest of the day. It's a very good film though.

I give them credit for picking the right month to release September.

This is another cautionary example of a title that was never on the Low Quantity Alert list before selling out. This has happened with a few titles; for example, Two Rode Together and Steel Magnolias.

La Bamba has been around for three years. The LQA is not perfect but it is all there is to notify customers of what is approaching sell out status. The LQA in the first post of this thread is kept up to date. However, sometimes a title slips through without ever making the list, especially during sales. La Bamba went rapidly today.

Prior to today's sellout and my update of the LQA, the last updated quantity numbers released by TT was June 29. There is no doubt that some of the numbers shown on the LQA have gotten lower since then, but there have been no new numbers released. I would encourage anyone sitting on the fence about a title that has been around for several years, or is on the LQA now, or is a generally recognized popular film, to not wait to the last minute to order expecting there will be a "last call" warning on every title.
I bought my copy of La Bamba way back in 2015 for the regular price of $30. I'm happy.

Default November 2017 Release Announcements - from Home Theater Forum

Here are the TT release announcements for November, courtesy of the Home Theater Forum. Thanks goes to them for posting this on their site.

As always, out of respect for HTF's exclusive sneak-peak announcement window, I will not be updating the first post of this thread until TT officially announces these titles on their Facebook page sometime later today.

SAYONARA (1957) BLU-RAY - November 14th

BANANAS (1971) BLU-RAY - November 14th

* DR DOLITTLE (1967) BLU-RAY - November 14th

GIDGET (1959) BLU-RAY - November 14th

THE YELLOW HANDKERCHIEF (1977) BLU-RAY - November 14th

* Sourced from a new 4k restoration that is still in preparation

DOCTOR DOLITTLE!!!! A childhood favorite!

Some serious classic movie firepower here, folks. Sayonara and Gidget.....Wow! Bananas, possibly Woody Allen's funniest film. And another must-buy from the incomparable Yoji Yamada......thanks to Twilight Time, I have discovered this incredible director and his magnificent films. Outstanding month of releases.

Dr. DOLITTLE!!!!
Very happy to see Bananas. Without Twilight Time, my Woody Allen collection would be gathering dust on DVD.

Glad to finally see BANANAS. One of Woody's funniest! That, SAYONARA, and DR. DOLITTLE are all must haves.

I'll be curious to see another film from Japanese director Yôji Yamada, as well. I have his TWILIGHT SAMURAI, HIDDEN BLADE, and LITTLE HOUSE. I'm not familiar with THE YELLOW HANDKERCHIEF, but will certainly pick it up at some point.

Sayonara has some incredible poster art. I have never seen this film but it has always been on my list. I've heard and read great things about it. Two of its cast won best supporting actor and actress Oscars.....Red Buttons, and Miyoshi Umeki, who was the first Asian to win an Oscar.

After no interest in any of the September or October titles, TT is going to have a lot of my money come November.

Honestly, there's some films I've basically just given up hope of them ever getting a Blu-ray release, and Sayonara was one of them. I figured it had all but been forgotten (The Miracle Worker [1962] is the other BIG one for me personally). Everyone in this film is fantastic. Marlon Brando, James Garner, Patricia Owens, and the Oscars won by Red Buttons and Miyoshi Umeki were so well deserved, they light up the screen every time they're together in this film. It's really a wonderful film and I'm crazy excited it's finally getting a release!!!

I'll also be picking up Dr. Dolittle & Gidget as soon as possible.

Excellent month!

Not necessarily: it's not uncommon for the bulk of copies of a DVD or a BD to be stored in paper sleeves rather than packed in jewel cases to save on storage space and costs if it's a large first run. Studios have been doing it for years and simply putting quantities in cases as needed - it's one of the reasons so many discs are released with changes of artwork over the years.
