Good lord am I glad I let you folks talk me into picking up Miss Sadie Thompson. I've been on a bit of Golden Age binge lately, and who doesn't love Rita, so I figured why not. I was expecting it to be an enjoyable enough melodrama with a good song performance or two and, given the setting and subject, bracing myself for all the cringing I expected to do over the

[Show spoiler]loose-women-get-what-they-deserve/those-stupid-natives

plot points.

But it's actually a great movie! Rita's performance is phenomenal, it's oddly progressive for its era, and the 3D is absolutely amazing. It really makes you regret that 3D wasn't more thoroughly integrated into common productions, since it's treated so naturally, unostentatiously. I wish contemporary 3D would take some cues from it!

The Cat Ballou discs arrived at Screen Archives, because they sent out my order that included it yesterday.

I can't think of Cat Ballou without the Cat Ballouuuu refrain. It's a delightfully fun movie that felt ahead of its time. I thought it made a nice double feature with Olive's Hannie Caulder. Talk about babes wearing cowboy hats...

The last remaining units of MST and Hardcore are being shipped by road from one facility to another, and will go back up on sale when that transfer is completed. Thanks.

I believe the point is that they are shipping from one (no longer in possession, hence nothing for sale) to the other (not yet in possession, hence nothing for sale), but the discs being transferred are not (all) sold yet.

I didn't see anything on Facebook, but I assume since the second small batch is gone, Mad Magician is sold out?

It's listed on their Facebook page as sold out, yes.

Also worth noting: They posted again, clarifying that the list I posted above is referring to Screen Archives.

The 3 Worlds of Gulliver (Big Harryhausen fan and had to have it. Yes, I waited this long)
Bunny Lake is Missing (Something told me I had to have this ... Otto Preminger, Keir Dullea, Carol Lynley and Laurence Olivier)
Sense and Sensibility (I was swayed by the reviews for this one. I don't know much about it).
Miss Sadie Thompson (Rita Hayworth ... low quantity alert ... sold!)
Cowboy (Glenn Ford, Jack Lemmon, $9.95, why not!)
Hardcore (I'm not sure of this one, but it gets good reviews and I was afraid that it might be getting low, so I pulled the trigger.)
The Member of the Wedding (Just looks like a movie I will enjoy).
Mindwarp (A weak moment buy in the waning hours of the sale ... )
Moscow on the Hudson (I saw this when it first came out and don't remember being overly thrilled with it. But with all that's going on in the country, I thought it might relate, so I'm giving it another look.)

Pretty lame that SAE puts up Miss Sadie and Hardcore after the sale is over. Everyone thought it was sold out because both titles were removed only to reappear after the sale ended. Like I said, pretty lame.

Again, can this user bdgking please stop posting updates on low quantities and items being sold out? OilDude, the owner of the thread, is consistent in keeping the OP up to date when official numbers are announced by Twilight Time themselves. While I'm sure he means well, these uncited updates just create confusion and panic for buyers.

It was up before the sale was over, I purchased it at 2:10 EST.

To be fair, SAE has had those two titles on sale for weeks during this sale.

Looks like I spoke too soon. Just got the Blu-Ray today, new and sealed. Upon opening it up, THERE WAS NO BLU-RAY INSIDE! Booklet was there but no Blu-Ray. I contacted Twilight Time so we'll see what they say but I'm pretty sure I'm out of luck since this is now OOP.

So pissed. I just wanted this for the Stooge shorts.
