John Hurt was particularly vocal about his displeasure that John Heard didn't change his last name because he was sick of directors confusing the two of them.

For three years, they did a "birthday" sale, celebrating the 3rd, 4th, and 5th anniversaries of the company. Last year, it was a "March Madness" MGM sale, which was the first of their studio-specific sales. No idea what's up for this spring, but they seem to be having a lot of sales in the past year and a half.

Funny you should mention this, I just watched it for the first time last night as part of my month of Oscars marathon. Damn that was a good movie. I bought the disc on sale and was certain it was sold out but, no, it's still available. I think I might have been getting it mixed up with Born Yesterday.

A while ago when I set out to watch every Best Picture, "All The King's Men" happened to be one of the first ones I watched, a movie I would likely not have had a lot of interest in, and the memory of how good it was helped me through quite a few bad Best Pictures, just knowing that there were definitely going to be more gems like that to find amid the rough.

I've heard 2 theories, although neither has been verified:

1- TT's exclusivity applies only to single releases, not box sets
2- TT surrendered their 3-year window in exchange for rights to other titles (they've done this before with Christine and another title).

So far, TT has not responded to any posts on this or other forums regarding this issue. My guess is #2
