It's part of the Warner library now, but I wouldn't be surprised if Warner Archive got round to it.

Infuriatingly, it was in the wrong aspect ratio (should have been 2.35:1, but was 16x9; a quite common annoyance ). Anyhow, I'd be interested to see a BD release.

I know there is a WB DVD available, but am I right in thinking that as an original MGM release, it could end up with TT? Or would WAC be more likely? (This stuff gets quite confusing ).
Yeah, pre-mid-eighties MGM is now Warner & United Artists is now MGM, blame Ted Turner. The problem I have with Operation Crossbow is the middle section, inside the hotel with Sofia Loren, the film seems to come to a stop, & for me it never quites get going again despite the explosive ending, but I'd still buy a good looking Blu-ray if WAC released it.

So TT's deal with MGM is over? I'm kinda new to TT, but isn't that their bread and butter? What else do they release, besides MGM/Sony films? Just wondering what they will be doing now.

Yes, they stated that they are no longer releasing MGM titles because MGM felt they weren't releasing them fast enough. Which is fine, because Kino Lorber and Olive are able to pick up the slack on those.

Twilight Time still release titles from Sony and Fox.

Would be nice if they could get a deal with another Studio, but I'm sure there are plenty of gems left at Fox and Sony.

How long would the deal with FOX last if that catalogue is going to Disney in the new few years?

I really do hope they release THE ANDERSON TAPES at some point. Great film.

Then there's no way of knowing. The Low Quantity list in the first post in this thread comes from information TT has revealed on their Facebook page. If TT hasn't put the information on their Facebook page, there's no way for anyone to know if something is about to sell out. That's life.

That's a good point, as for the Anderson Tapes, it's with Mill Creek in the US (in a 2 pack), but is available from Indicator in the UK as a stand alone release (region free).

Oh wow! Didn't know that. Quick question, what is the deal with Mill Creek? Do they just get license's for films without any special features?

What is their reputation like? Really think I'll be getting this, as THE ANDERSON TAPES is fantastic.

Also, hope TT will release APT PUPIL. Not sure if Image still has the rights to this or not.

Mill Creek is a budget label, and yes they don't usually do special features, you would be better off getting the Indicator release.

Thanks.

I found Loren's top billing a bit odd given her role amounts to an extended cameo at best...until I read afterwards that the producer was her husband.

There are some titles that slip through without any low quantity notice at all. Steel Magnolias was one of these from a few years ago. There have been a handful of others since then. Maybe six or seven altogether. It happens.

As I have posted before, because this does happen every once in awhile, if you have a title you really want, don't wait too long. If you want to wait on a sale, that is the time to grab something you want. All of these titles from 2+ years ago have now been on sale multiple times at very good prices.

The Low Quantity Update section in the first post of this thread is kept current by me based on the latest information. It is not a perfect system. Sometimes title quantities are announced a few at a time with no new numbers for ones already on the list. Some titles have been on the list for a while now with no new numbers update (for example, Rapture).

This is why I always post the date I last update the list and have a disclaimer that remaining numbers for some titles are most certainly lower than what is shown.

Re: Paragraph 2 - it's especially important if a title you want goes on sale because most people are waiting for those to make their purchases. You might be able to get away with something that's been reduced to $24.95, but anything that's priced at $19.95 or less you are taking a chance.

Just to be clear, my comment wasn't intended as a reflection on you. Your work is much appreciated. Someone asked the question where low quantity alerts can be found. The response given was the OP, so I just wanted to make it clear that not all low quantity alerts make it through. As had been noted, sometimes TT just doesn't give one for some reason. Obviously, there's no way anyone can post about it if TT doesn't share. Thanks again for keeping up this thread so well!
