Hello fellow Collectors of Twilight Time Blu-ray's ,This is a note to "Canadian Collectors", Today I received an order that I placed Jan.11, when I last tracked my Order it had left New York on Jan.19th on it's way to Destination. Today I received it March 6th! My complaint is only to CANADA POST, it obviously sat in limbo in Customs somewhere, and not once was it scanned for tracking (I checked daily, even today zilch), and just so you know it can be tracked once in Canada.

Long story short, try to be patient for your Order, I never bothered S.A.E. or wanted to worry them for nothing, they have exemplary service (As of now I own 211 twilight time blu-rays and a few dvds), I can't honestly say I wasn't panicking a bit w/6 movies ordered, but my gut told me it was the Post being slow, this has happened to Me at least a half doz. times the last couple years with other items I've ordered being delayed.

In 8 years of ordering from S.A.E. never a lost order...

My Order received today:

Suddenly Last Summer
Doctor Dolittle
Beneath The 12-Mile Reef
Gun Fury 3D
Inferno 3D
FREE Wild Bill Autographed

I hope I gave some insight/help to any Canuck in the future.

I gotta have Don't Bother to Knock and Underworld USA. An icy gangster thriller from Sam Fuller and a Marilyn Monroe film where's she plays a demented dame, oh hells yeah. What's really cool too is these twofond have the best artwork from Twilight Time, imo.

For me, definitely Underworld USA and The Seven-Ups. I don't seem to remember at all The New Centurions but with George C. Scott being in it, that's enough to tempt me into a blind purchase.

I received an e-mail that when the pre-orders go up today, there is a signed promo copy of Wuthering Heights available signed by co-star Ian Ogilvy. You have to spend $119.80 (so 4 regularly priced titles). This is at the Twilight Time Movies website, not SAE.

I got half a mind to take advantage of this. All four would be blind-buys for me, but Underworld U.S.A. was one I was going to pull the trigger on because its story sounded the most appealing to me.

Ehh, I might as well jump on the deal. I plan on ordering up The Incident too--haven't seen that one before either, but it sounded like something I'd appreciate.

UNDERWORLD USA for me. It will nicely stand right next to TT's CRIMSON KIMONO on my noir shelf.

And yes, THE INCIDENT is excellent.

Placed an order on TT, got a free signed copy of Wuthering Heights in the basket. Holy cow.

EDIT:
Ah, this is why.

I'm good for the bundle as soon as I get home from the hospital, because I want all of the March titles.

During the past couple of weeks, I had been experiencing occasional chills, low energy, lower ab pain, and lower back pain, but I shrugged off these symptoms as everyday small stuff and kept on trucking. The pain got so bad on Sunday, however, that I finally checked myself into a nearby ER, expecting that the family curse of kidney stones had found me at last.

A CT scan revealed, instead, that I had an appendix inflammation and a high white blood cell count. Three hours later, the surgery revealed that my appendix had actually burst and that I was deathly infected. I've spent the past three days in the ninth circle of hell, with bloating due to total malfunction of the bowel system, a tube going down my nose to drain fluid out of my stomach, IV drips, shots to the stomach, etc.

I'm over the hump now, but it sucks. I have not had surgery since 1981, when I was in fourth grade, so this whole feeling of being in mortal danger and helpless to perform minor tasks, is new to me.

I'll be home soon, though, and I'll order the March TT titles.

Don't worry about getting your order in. PM me your address (you have moved since I sent you that Criterion case a few years ago).

All four will be heading your way when I know where to send them. Consider it a get well wish from the oildude and all of us here on the Twilight Time thread.

Oh wow, that's awesome. Hey Great Owl, maybe next month you should check yourself back into the hospital and tell them to take out a kidney, maybe you'll get the April releases too!

Glad to hear you caught it in time and are on the mend. I had a similar experience with a different major ailment that they luckily caught when they were looking for something else some years ago, so I know what you must have gone through with that journey from shock revelation at the cliff-edge seriousness of the situation to that feeling of a lucky reprieve. It can take a while to readjust, especially after major surgery (worst thing for me: forgetting it hurts when you instinctively try to get up from a chair too quickly, which would happen several times a day - second worst thing: having time to watch more movies, but not being able to concentrate on them for as long), so don't feel guilty about taking it easy.
