Two stories about sailors on dry land... he definitely carved a niche for himself.

Three (at least) - don't forget "Last Flag Flying". [I'm just assuming the book had the same title as the movie, anyway.]

GENGHIS KHAN and CINDERELLA LIBERTY are Day One for me.

I might well blind-buy THE REVOLT OF MAMIE STOVER, but perhaps a month or two later.

They always tell young writers to write what they know. Ponicsan served a hitch in the Navy so, not surprisingly, his first two novels drew from that experience. In addition to writing novels, he also adapted other writers’ novels, including screenplays for Taps and Vision Quest, among others. He’s had quite a career.

Wasn't Ponicsan also involved with AN OFFICER AND A GENTLEMAN?

Per Twilight Time, both Mamie Stover and Cinderella Liberty will have new 4k transfers.

How about GENGHIS KHAN? Perhaps that received a 4K transfer when it was released by Mill Creek?

Fairly frequently these days. As for when the next one might be, well in 2017 they had a sale on all of their MGM stock in March followed by a Fox sale in June and a Sony sale in August.

This year they had an MGM sale in February, so I'm fully expecting there to be a sale next month on their Fox titles and a Sony one later in the year.

That would be great. I can wait on Don't Bother to Knock for the Fox sale and Underworld USA for the Sony sale.

If there is a sale next month on Fox titles, Don't Bother to Knock might be too new to be included, or at least to have anything more than $5 off the price.

$5 off is still a great deal especially if you use a 2$ off code. I'm hoping it will be more of a Sony sale (If there is a sale next month) because I'd like to snag Cat Ballou, The Crimson Kimono, and Devil in a Blue Dress.

Actually I’d prefer a Sony sale too as I picked up a few of my wanted Fox titles in that 15 for $15 sale last month.

Same though I wouldn't mind getting How to Steal a Million, The Seven-Ups and Doctor Dolittle.

Have to say I prefer a Fox sale. Most of the films I want are Fox films. Like Garden of Evil, Kiss of Death, and Where The Sidewalk Ends. Also, I why I doubt it will be included in any upcoming sale I need to get Don't Bother To Knock. There have just been too many films to get.

There’s a ClassicFlix sale. Any recommendations? After watching The Big Heat more noir seems fit.

They’re all good, but I would especially recommend the Mann/Alton bundle. T-Men, Raw Deal and He Walked by Night are all essential.

I'd also throw "Another Man's Poison" in there. Bette Davis is great in it.
