From producer/director Fred Zinnemann comes Behold a Pale Horse (1964), a somber yet harrowingly suspenseful thriller of personal conviction in the face of political repression, set against the backdrop of the dark decades following the 1936-1939 Spanish Civil War. In charismatic and charged performances, Gregory Peck plays an exiled guerrilla fighter, Anthony Quinn is the dogged police chief who lays a trap to catch him, and Omar Sharif portrays a priest who intervenes to prevent the antagonists’ inevitable confrontation. Starkly photographed on French locations by Jean Badal, and powerfully scored by three-time Academy Award® winner Maurice Jarre.

For their final film together following The Guns of Navarone (1961), Cape Fear (1962) and Mackenna’s Gold (1969), star Gregory Peck and director J. Lee Thompson team for the high-stakes espionage thriller The Chairman (1969). Securing a game-changing agricultural enzyme formula is the goal for a Nobel Prize-winning professor (Peck) visiting Communist China where, equipped with an implanted transmitter, he will meet scientists and the titular Chairman Mao himself. Also placed inside him: an explosive device to be triggered in case of failure. Written for the screen by Ben Maddow (The Asphalt Jungle) and scored by the peerless Jerry Goldsmith.

First-ever authorized disc release – in sparkling hi-def Blu-ray! Irving Stone’s 1951 novel The President’s Lady (1953) hits the screen as a fanciful but historically true profile of the enduring love shared by Indian fighter, Tennessee lawyer and future U.S. President Andrew Jackson and the unhappily married Rachel Donelson, respectively played by the well-matched Charlton Heston and Susan Hayward. Jackson’s political rise is shaded by the scandal ginned up by his foes regarding Rachel’s divorce. Henry Levin (Journey to the Center of the Earth) directs this deft blend of frontier adventure and affecting romance, well shot by Leo Tover and scored by the protean Alfred Newman, whose stirring music is available on an Isolated Track.

Another hi-def Blu-ray debut arrives in its first authorized home video release in gorgeous black-and-white widescreen Cinemascope! In a tender and touching late-career performance, two-time Academy Award® winner Gary Cooper plays a lawyer who tries to outdistance the failures of his complacent family life and thwarted attempts at politics by taking an autumnal shot at true love with a much younger woman. The adapter-director of the Twilight Time titles Hilda Crane and Blue Denim marshals a top-flight cast in bringing to the screen a well-regarded John O’Hara novel.

Special Features: Isolated Music Track

He is probably best known for his screenplays, such as The Ghost and Mrs. Muir, How Green Was My Valley, Forever Amber, Pinky, The Robe, Demetrius and the Gladiators, The Egyptian, and many more.

Starring:

Gary Cooper (Ball of Fire, High Noon, Sergeant York, Design for Living, Man of the West, The Pride of the Yankees, Mr. Deeds Goes to Town, For Whom the Bell Tolls, Garden of Evil)

Diana Varsi (Peyton Place, From Hell to Texas, Wild in the Streets)

Suzy Parker (The Best of Everything, Circle of Deception, Kiss Them for Me)

Geraldine Fitzgerald (Nobody Lives Forever, Dark Victory, Wuthering Heights)

Music by the great Leigh Harline, who began his scoring career in animation, including Snow White and the Seven Dwarves and Pinocchio, before going on to film work that includes House of Bamboo, Broken Lance, They Live by Night, The Enemy Below, The Pride of the Yankees, Monkey Business, and Pickup on South Street.

Cinematography by the outstanding Joseph MacDonald, who lensed many classics, including My Darling Clementine, Call Northside 777, Panic in the Streets, Niagara, Pickup on South Street, The Young Lions, Warlock, Mackenna's Gold, and The Sand Pebbles.

Yes, the DVD had similar cover art and I responded in kind... let’s just say I won’t be bothering with the bluray.

Not for me personally, but don’t let that stop you from getting it if it interests you, though I would certainly recommend waiting for a sale.

I'm probably still thinking of the old scheduling when they announced three months in advance - force of habit can be hard to shake.

Back when TT's Universal deal was revealed, I was hoping for a little more than what we got. Don't get me wrong, I earmarked Anne of the Thousand Days and Melvin and Howard for future purchase, but just five titles seemed a little meh, especially with the studio being so giving with other labels like Arrow and Kino Lorber.
If a new deal is made, two titles I would think they'd really fancy getting their hands on are Mary Queen of Scots and Flower Drum Song, specifically because the label's founder, the late Nick Redman, already produced special features on both's dvd releases. Namely, an isolated score track with commentary, made along with frequent TT collaborator Jon Burlingame, on the former, and a commentary with Redman and Nancy Kwan, already the subject of much supplemental feature love on sold-out release Fate is the Hunter, on the latter. I'll be sure to keep my ears open for any news of another deal.

Brian Jamieson, co-founder of the label, also made a feature length documentary about Kwan, so it's a title they certainly would have tried for if it was available.

They said a "handful" of titles and it looks like they meant it. It was also indicated this would probably be all.

I'm wondering if they are about to cease Sony titles. They've only released about 5 Columbia/TriStar titles this year. The 2019 slate has mostly been 20th Century Fox.

I think that train may have left the station. As well as a moratorium on new releases, the Disney deal threw Fox's restoration schedule into chaos, and by the time they get round to it TT's rights may have expired.
