They should and probably will reimburse you fully for return postage in such cases if you ask them to. Also sometimes they will waive the return if postage is close to or more than the cost of the damaged item. (From experience.)

Oh and I suggest shipping by AmazonGlobal Standard to your house. Lots less damage since I started doing that, worth the tiny extra cost.

Is SAE marking the value down on the packages, at the moment?

I've seen it twice. The first time was years ago when I had high expectations because I was expecting it to have the quality of The Day of the Jackal or The Mechanic. Subsequently, I was very disappointed. I decided to give it a second chance when I picked up the blu-ray on sale (for more than $5.95 I might add) and I enjoyed it more the second time around. Basically, it's a "pretty good" movie if you go in with lowered expectations, but I would never call it a great movie by any means. It's absolutely worth picking up for $5.95.

For Customs? Yes, these days Screen Archives marks the full value on their packages.

Well they should be putting the price you paid, not including p&p. I'm sure they know that. I ordered Cat Ballou in a sale for $14.95 a couple of years ago & that was fine.

I know, but there was a time in which they marked it down, I was just making sure.

By the way, do you know if they mark the items promotional price, or the original one?

What's the deal with Flaming Star and The Hawaiians not being available on the TT site? Are they sold out there or something?

“Cinderella Liberty” is a fine film, however, I wasn’t a big fan of the third act (or at least up until a certain moment before it).

You will not regret purchasing this film. I can't believe it's not sold out yet. Seriously, people, if you don't have it already, grab it. It's a top-shelf 1950s melodrama.

Went ahead and got:

I really would have preferred if we got some more titles in the 9.95 range, but I guess it makes sense, since so few have sold out. Tried to strike a balance between getting titles I feared would sell out, some cheaper ones and the ones which, at 14.95, were the best value for money.

By the way, I thought we were supposed to get announcements this past Saturday. I know TT is not in the best of shapes, what with Mr. Redman's passing and the Disney-Fox situation, but did they at least hint at when we could expect any new titles?

I can't believe they have to practically give away THE BEST OF EVERYTHING for $5.95!

The movie is great! It is melodrama craziness at its best

The less you know about the story the more entertaining it is. The storylines are so good.

Worth every cent.

also PLACES IN THE HEART contains a good commentary with the late great Nick Redman moderating with Sally Field giving her recollections etc.

Went with Beat the Devil, Stormy Weather, The Gang's All Here, Will Success Spoil Rock Hunter, and Inferno.

I'm aiming to focus on Fox titles since it's looking like once an edition is out of print, it's not coming back to physical media.

Not a huge shift from the last sale, but enough for me to pull the trigger on some I really wanted, plus a couple of real bargains:

I'm somewhat familiar with Garden of Evil and Our Man in Havana
but need to get acquainted with The Keys of the Kingdom.

I've never seen any of these before, so all three will be blind buys. I'm especially interested in The Keys of the Kingdom!

He was a great actor. We know about his big role in The Searchers but in lesser known Ford films like this, Sergeant Rutledge, Hell to Eternity, King of Kings, and of course his performance in the first pilot of Star Trek: TOS "The Cage" and many more films. I wanted to get Dimension 5 during the KLSC sale but had to take titles off and it happened to be one of them.

On par with Sirks' films of the era? Those gems are the melodrama gold standard. If so, I just may have to place a second order.
