Mine said that for days (it actually still does), but when I contacted them about it, mine had actually shipped two days before. I just never got a shipping notice and the status didn't update. I think they're having some issues with the statuses on this sale. Haven't had a good sale in a while and they're overloaded.

For those in the US and sign up to USPS Informed Delivery ought to be able and see if their order shipped.

After almost twelve months of "sales" that were disappointing and easy to pass by, I went all in on this one (though I wish now I'd resisted picking up Big Fix, Quiller, and River's Edge back in the June/July sale. Would've saved $15 more...and I still haven't watched any of 'em.
Oh well.
Still was able to clean out my long-standing "to buy" list, and then went beyond that with titles I'd put out of my mind entirely. It took a while for SAE to get the order out, but it looks to be in transit now.

It's very possible I'll get off a second order in a week or so. The only hod-up is a few other sales currently (Intrada's) and a decent exchange rate that has me itching to place Amazon UK and De orders.

With TT there is a temptation to grab while the grabbing is good, but I also have to wonder about the longevity of the label in light of the passing of Nick. If it is winding down, good sales on the stuff that lingers may happen with more frequency now.

For what it's worth, I spoke to Brian Jamieson shortly after Nick's death, and they're still following the timetable they agreed and set out before then but the Disney/Fox moratorium has caused them problems, especially with promised remasters being postponed or cancelled (ie The Iron Horse), and that may have caused some regrouping and rescheduling.

I ordered 2 more just now, despite already placing an order earlier in the month. These sales are hard to resist!

Probably going to get these as blind-buys:

- The Best of Everything (low price and the reviews here are encouraging)
- Gidget (iconic movie and I enjoy other 60s beach movies)
- Romeo is Bleeding (the reviews saying this is over-the-top just make me more curious)

Was tempted to get Rollerball, but I will wait for the German UHD.

I do like that these sales last a full month. Gives me the opportunity to place multiple orders.

Anybody care for A Prayer for the Dying? From Rourke's halcyon 80s days as a leading man, this one's gone MIA in the ensuing decades and appears to be yet another unfortunate victim of studio interference, but reviews were favorable enough for me to spring for it this sale.

I'll be able to share my own thoughts on it as soon as it gets here, but are there any fans? Worth the $15? Rourke's supposedly quite good here and I'm curious how it stacks up next to his two haymakers from '87, Angel Heart and Barfly.

I ordered a Twilight Time Blu-ray from eBay last Tuesday, it arrived Friday, and I watched it yesterday. I liked it a lot. This was the movie, and it was from 1995 (if you haven't seen it yet, you should):

I remember seeing it in the theater over 30 years ago - even though it was okay, I remember being a bit disappointed in it. It was a decent story with an intriguing concept, but I thought Rourke was a bit miscast in the role.

Since the scheduling of their DVD->BD upgrades seemed rather random, I suspect that each depended on the state of the current master. Given that all of the DVDs were licensed from Fox, I doubt that any that haven't already been upgraded will get one because Disney's acquisition of Fox has put a lot of this sort of thing (restoration/remastering and licensing) on hold.

So, The Left Hand of God -- along with The Kremlin Letter, Woman Obsessed, and The Flim-Flam Man -- is likely now in home video limbo. I'm glad I managed to get around to getting the Huston and Hathaway titles on TT DVD, and regret not getting into Twilight Time until after the other two were already OOP.

"The Left Hand of God" has a BD release from Germany. PQ is adequate, not spectacular, but it's certainly the best presentation of the film on the market.

Yeah, I probably should've looked to see if it was available elsewhere before I replied. Thanks for mentioning it. I'll have to add it to my Amazon DE cart.

Looks like it's also available in France (https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/The-L...lu-ray/138753/).

Yes. Those subtitles are burned on the film.

My latest order for 10 Twilight Time titles arrived today from SAE, approximately 1 week after placing my order. I'm impressed with how quickly the order got here, considering I went with the cheaper media mail option. I'm also impressed (if not a little puzzled) that 2 spare clear Blu-ray cases were included with the order, since I didn't ask for them. The only reason I can come up with is that 2 out of the 10 titles I ordered came in the older blue cases (Black Widow [1954] and Short Night of Glass Dolls), while the other 8 titles came in clear cases. FWIW, the other titles in my order were:

Another Woman
The Detective
Gran Bollito
The L-Shaped Room
The Last Hurrah
My Gal Sal
My Sister Eileen
The New Centurions

Thank you Twilight Time and SAE!

That's exactly why. I also ordered Short Night of Glass Dolls and noticed a note and checkout stating that they would add a clear case since that one originally came in blue.

As a relatively new TT customer, I have to give high praise to them! They ship quickly (even with Media Mail, as you said), pack things carefully, and have some great titles! I'm sorry to hear that one of the founders recently passed, but so long as they wish to continue the business, I'll count myself a customer.

Also, The Best of Everything and Anne of the Thousand Days just arrived today! Apparently a shipping center of theirs is local to me in Texas!
