I ordered last week from the TT sale and was shocked that Media Mail was no longer available. Shipping seemed crazy expensive even at its cheapest. I sent them an email inquiring about it and received a very courteous, professional and illuminating reply. Apparently enough gets lost and damaged with Media Mail that TT has had to replace large orders and lost money. It has not happened to me personally but I’ve heard it from other labels and customers. So I ended up paying around $14 (which is about what it costs me to take my kid to Starbucks just to put it in perspective for myself) and yesterday everything arrived promptly and undamaged. I got a great deal on the sale and I helped support a small company that I think does very good work and sadly appears to be struggling financially.

You can thank the Australian Post for the increase in postal prices.

Argh, I can't decide whether to order a few of the titles on my TT wish list now, or wait for a future sale where the prices will be lower. Anyone know how long this sale will last? It seems odd that SAE hasn't sent out any sort of notice announcing it.

We don't even technically know if this is a legit sale; I know that I'm half-expecting a cancellation email.

But as to your question, I'm torn on whether or not I "jumped the gun". $15 has always been my TT sweet spot, but with the line in flux, and with a $2 coupon sitting in my inbox, I'm considering canceling the order and just continuing to be patient.

Some of the titles that I ordered have been sitting on my wish list for years at this point thought, and I've been eager to get them (especially the Fox ones, given the Disney merger.)

I decided to go ahead and place an order for eight titles that I've had on my SAE Wishlist for several months now. Each of them was priced at $19.95 during the last big sale; I consider $14.95 to be a fair price. Now let's see if these actually ship!

Sigh... Well, what the heck, I daresay I'm a fool for not waiting for a sale with lower prices, but I went ahead and ordered a few titles that were at the very top of my TT want list. I may regret this later, if (or when?) they're all listed at five or ten dollars each... Shipping is definitely a rip-off, whether you order from SAE or TT---the shipping charge on this four-disc order was probably about five dollars higher than the actual postage cost. But---what are you going to do about it? There's no other option.

Yeah, I'm not at all sure this sales offer is real! It just seems odd that there's been no announcement, and that the items aren't also on sale at the TT site... Ah well, I made the attempt---if the order is cancelled, my wallet will thank me.

I'd much prefer to wait for a $10 sale, but heck---$15 is a reasonable price for these discs, and I only ordered a few at the very top of my list. If there's a much better sale later, there are still a number of films I'd be willing to order.

Sure seems like TT is on life support after Nick passed. It seems he was the only glue holding this label together. Since that time, Julie Kirgo has left, Mike Finnegan stopped posting news releases on the TT web site in Apr 2019, TT stopped releasing new releases, the TT web site still lists media mail as an option on their Shipping & Returns page, and they still have a link to the TwilightTimeArt site which is deader than a door nail. In addition, it seems TT last posted to their social media sites in Jan 2020.

Yep, I think it's apparent that TT is completely dead by this point. Only question is, how are they going to sell off their remaining stock? How low will the prices get for the inevitable everything-must-go sale?

Brian Jamieson stated at a festival that the label was taking a break from releases to evaluate what they should do. Since nothing's resumed since, it seems quite clear to me what the results of this assessment were.

As they've been doing for the past 2 years : heavily discounting it.

Thanks....I made a cart of 25 titles I wanted on SAE, which is way more than I should purchase. Shipping would be $45.15. On Twilight, shipping for 25 titles gives me a FedEx option for 29.21. Which still seems silly, but certainly better.

I too miss the Media Mail option at SAE...I live relatively close, so I would always get my order fast even using MM.

I canceled my order on SA and went through TT...saved $13, so what the hell.

Btw, when it comes to canceling through SA, is there any more effective method than simply sending them an email with the order #?

I think what hurt them more was Disney swallowing up Fox, taking their titles off the table for the foreseeable future, and Sony licensing titles to just about anyone now.

Now the question is to bite on $15 or wait to see if they drop to $10...

What are all the Bronson releases? I think I need The Valachi Papers, The Stone Killer, and From Noon Till Three.

Picked up the last couple of "really wants" (this is my designation that ranks just below must have) that were on my wishlist as well as a couple of $8.95 titles. Sad to say that this is probably my last ever bulk purchase of Twilight Time titles unless they have some sort of official going out of business, everything must go, all titles are $5 each sale. It's too bad because I used to really love getting boxes of 5-6 titles including an autographed copy of something and the first thing I'd do is open them up and browse through the booklets.

I honestly think we have seen the end of "Twilight Time" but that Jamieson will at some point release a few more titles here and there on his Redwind Label.

I ordered the only title I really wanted, Rapid Fire since it was $15. It’s my first time ordering directly from TT, usually I go through SA.
