I just bought TT's release of Stormy Weather from this seller for $60 bucks at auction. It will be here Tuesday so i guess i'll find out if he did it to me. I don't get how the seller would have 100% rating if they are switching DVD's with blu-ray's, most collectors would be able to tell the difference. Was it a factory pressed DVD or a DVD-R that he switched it with?

I am not the one that got scammed this time. I was passing on information from another seller. For those of you who don't know, former user bdgking scammed me out of $2000. A forum member contacted me tonight that bought twilight time titles on ebay and they had the discs switched. They asked for the name and city of bdgking, and they are the same person.

I agree, I'm not sure how this guy has the feedback rating that he has, I was simply wanting to make people aware of this person.

Why haven't you left him negative feedback? That would help other users. You took a big risk sending someone you don't know $2k.

I remember some of this from another thread now, since (thankfully) I don't see too many instances of scammers on here. I still wish the Postal Inspectors/law enforcement got involved, but I respect the decision to just move on. Sadly eBay doesn't care to intervene most times since they still get their slice of the sales.

I can understand if you don't wish to discuss it anymore, but I would really like to know if you were ever able to get any of your money back? I hope so.

Also, as painful of a memory as it is for you and possibly old news for many here, I do think bringing it up again every so often serves a very important purpose if it means others won't get taken by this a-hole.

Thank you. Unfortunately, I was never able to get my money back. But I have been able to do some side business through ebay to make the money back.

And as far as brining it up occasionally, that was part of my purpose with the post last night. And yes, I do understand that the guy has great feedback on ebay, put I figured that some of you would like to know who he is on ebay so you could avoid doing business with him altogether.

You should leave him negative feedback on the forum. I looked his account up, and he doesn't have any negative feedback.

Sorry to hear that, but it highlights you really don't know who you can trust. What is his eBay username so people know who to stay away from?

It may be much too late now, but did you file a police report especially given the value of the product? How about filing a small claims court to at least have a ruling in your favor?

Also, hope they ship out the January titles soon. Feels like they might have been prepared for the actual release date.

Best thing to do to protect yourself is to take photos (and maybe some video) of the items. Take photos of each item your placing in the box, take photos of the box with the items in it and photos of the box being sealed and and then with the shipping labels on it. Maybe have someone take a video of it. Same thing when you get the return - Take photos of the returned box, of you opening the box, taking the items out of the box and of each item. If the person scams you, send PayPal (or other company) the photos and video as proof of what you sent them and what they sent you and that they ripped you off. Really, Really sorry that this happened to you. I never have ordered from ebay (and I had heard of horror stories like this) and I don't want to take the risk. I have ordered from third party sellers on Amazon US & Canada but I limit it to 1 item from each seller and it's always under $100.

I just wanted to give an updated report that i got my Order in the mail of Stormy Weather from the seller that was mentioned. It was factory sealed and inside is an authentic Twilight blu-ray.
