Yeah, it was announced in the e-mail that they sent out saying that Major Dundee was up for pre-order. I've already got my copy, but sales may pick up as it's getting close to selling out (then again, it's been under 500 copies for HOW LONG??)...

More proof that the cart game isn't always accurate, since it's showing 337 copies (along with 395 copies for Bye Bye Birdie, which hasn't gone under 500 copies yet)...

I'm always bringing up this SONY title but I really wish TT could release THE SWIMMER on BLU. Have they ever mentioned anything on Facebook? I don't do Facebook but if anyone wants to inquire if the title is a possibility for release Please Ask

SWIMMER is one of my all-time favorites--film and score. I have mentioned it to TT in the past on FB and they have responded very enthusiastically that they love the film and would be thrilled to release it.

It has been released some months ago in France by Wild Side, but only on DVD so I hope TT will source better film elements to release it on Blu Ray!

Have had SWIMMER since the day it DVD in the U.S. about 10 years ago. Interested in nothing less than a Blu-ray.

Well I think you didn't read me carefully.

I just said it went out on DVD last year in France and the distributor didn't have good enough elements to make a Blu Ray, it's why I said that I hope TT will get better elements to release a Blu Ray

Read you fine. Wasn't clear from your initial message that the lack of Blu-ray in France was due to inadequate elements.

Elements shouldn't be an issue, as it's a Sony title and they--led by EVP Asset Management, Film Restoration, and Digital Mastering Grover Crisp--tend to be excellent about restoring and storing their entire catalog. New prints were struck in the early - mid '00s. I ran one of those prints myself and it was gorgeous.

Box Office Spectaculars, a spinoff from Grindhouse Releasing, was said to be working on a restoration of THE SWIMMER, along with BIG GUNDOWN. Not sure of the veracity of those reports and if they are still working on it, or if they ever started.

I am probally gonna pick up 3 TT titles when I get paid friday, can anyone guess which 3 might get sold out next?

I know I am grabbing The Egyptian and was thinking Enemy Mine and The Fury might be the next 2 to sell out

Don't know what will sell out next but The Big Heat is getting close to 500 remaining and it appears Our Man Flint, In Like Flint, and Experiment in Terror are now below 1000.

Yeah, all of these appear to be going quicker than Enemy Mine and The Fury. I would grab any of these if you want them. Our Man Flint and The Big Heat are especially low.

Does Sony deal with any others than Twilight Time and Mill's Creek? I was just wondering about the chances to see their 'William Castle Collection' on blu. Probably never going to happen if it's up to Sony themselves.
