I still haven't gotten my order either which is ridiculous considering I ordered as soon as it went live on their website. It's obvious Screen Archives Entertainment is in over their heads and not able to handle the amount of orders they are receiving. Twilight Time would be wise to find a more professional retailer who can handle a high number of orders or people will stop buying their releases. Personally, I'm done with them until they address this issue. I'm not paying a premium price and pre-ordering a month in advance only to wait 2-3 weeks after the supposed release date to receive my items. Screen Archives Entertainment ineptitude is harming Twilight Time's reputation.

Wait until you have a true problem with your order, then give them a call. That is when the fun begins. Nothing is their fault.

Honestly, I think in terms of damage to my merchandise, I would prefer they stick with SAE. Just about every other "professional retailer" I order from, to borrow from Steve Jobs, is just a bag of hurt, 50-50 at best. Much better with SAE (especially when I order in 3s, knock on wood). If the damage ratio goes up, I'd probably cut way back on ordering from them as well.

Bummer about some of the odd shipping delays, eventually they will get straightened out. Guess patience is no longer a virtue.

Like other posters here I am seriously hacked off with their shipping procedures. Every time I order from them which is probably 3 times a year. My orders seem to be bottom of the pile to be shipped despite being ordered a few minutes after go live time. They usually don't ship to me until 2 weeks after they start the shipping so US customers and even some overseas already have copies by the time mine ships, so it can't be an issue because I am in UK.

They really need to do a first ordered first shipped method, rather than their current completely random approach which just hacks off people like me.

However I must say that SAE are not they only US retailer with crap times to despatch these days. Amazon.com are just as bad taking now around 4 days to despatch an order. Contrast with Amazon.ca who ship in a day and because they upgrade even cheapest shipping to courier delivery the BD gets to me in the UK in the time it takes Amazon.com to ship.

On a lighter note. Got an autographed copy of Alfredo Garcia today. Well chuffed.

+1. (Though they seemed pretty systematic last year, I've not really had anything go awry so far this year, there have been some delays, but it's a small label and it's a small storefront, so stuff happens.)

With overseas stuff, I got used to slow a long time ago. It's nice when things get over here quickly (and even better when they arrive undamaged), but I don't expect things to show up quicker than 2 or 3 weeks anyway. Not unusual to take longer, but it's pretty rare.

Oh my God, please, let it be Audrey Rose

EDIT: Just saw another "no" for Pumpkinhead, so it's definitely Audrey Rose !

There is always TCM shop, I don't know if they are any better. Hopefully mine will show up sometime next week, it was shipped on Thursday, but it always seem to take a long time.

TCM shop is fine. I got Wild at Heart on the same day as everyone else when I preordered from there. They have sales more often so you can usually save a couple bucks, plus they usually have the titles that sell out for a while longer than SAE's site. I managed to get Body Double several weeks after it had been sold out on SAE's site from the TCM shop at regular price.

This thread stopped being stickied after TT decided to stop mailing Blu-ray.com review copies of the movies, using the logic: why promote a company when the favors are one-sided. That dispute has apparently been resolved, so perhaps this thread could go back to being stickied. I'd support that.

Well, no actually that's not true. "They" (the powers that be) moved stuff around this past week, and while doing so, eventually unstickied most of the threads like this one.

Prior to "their" messing with things earlier this week, this thread was still stickied. (And I think it was still stickied after the initial re-org, but now seems to have finally lost its stickiness (presumably yesterday), for who knows what reason.)

That is not true. The Twilight Time thread was stickied in the North American forum until late last week when it was moved, along with all the other studio and distributor threads like Criterion, Olive, Kino, Scream, Grindhouse Releasing, etc, to a separate sub-forum titled Studios and Distributors. The Studios and Distributors sub-forum link is located at the top of the North American Blu-ray page.

Blu-ray Movies - North America > Studios and Distributors > Twilight Time's Release Schedule

It also appears that, as of yesterday, shortcut links were created in the main body of the North American Blu-ray forum that take you to the new sub-forum location.

In any event, at no time was this thread ever unstickied or otherwise negatively manipulated due to TT no longer sending screeners to Blu-ray.com. As you point out, that situation no longer exists anyway and was only for a short period of time.

My mistake. There had been a lot of discussion of unstickying TT after the screener copy incident and I had thought that the end result was that it had actually gotten unstickied. I don't navigate through the forum heirarchy (I just read the threads I follow, generally) to have noticed its status. Sorry about that.

It's definitely not Pumpkinhead. Shout announced yesterday that they were doing it through the Scream Factory line.

In other news, I just received my recent TT order today. Broadway Danny Rose, Used Cars, Wild At Heart and The Other.

Thumbs up

I don't mind waiting as long as an order arrives safe and sound. My order was made on March 24, left seller facility on April 8, departed from USA on April 14 and delivered today! Very nice.
