It's hard to tell with The Train given the 1 per customer limit. Given the limit, I'm not sure the "cart game" will work. The highest it will go up to is 50, but it's been like that since I first checked two days ago. Since you really only can buy 1 and they haven't sent out any alerts or posted anything on the storefront, I'm not sure we'll ever known until they say something. Granted they didn't send out any alerts today about Wild at Heart or Rollerball being so low, but they did put out an alert about a week ago for both of them when they hit under 500.

I have The Train sitting in my cart with a couple of others titles, but would love to wait a month and a half to put in Man Hunt as well. I doubt I'll get the chance, but it would be nice to know if I really should pounce now or not.

While free shipping would obviously be welcomed, it really isn't that bad per title once you get up to $100 or even $150. It's only roughly $2 per title at $100.

I would pounce on The Train now. TT posted that they would be gone very soon, within 2 weeks of that posting, so I think by the end of this week or next. Can't remember for sure. Just giving you a heads up. I would check their facebook again.

I was just going by their emails they send out and the store's website. Nothing has been mentioned via either source, but since I've never been on their Facebook, I didn't know. Thanks for the heads up.

Those kinds of announcements are usually posted in this thread and/or in the film's dedicated thread soon after they appear elsewhere.

Julie Kirgo's essays are enjoyable to read.

I guess keep checking. The cart game seems to only work now when qty is under 50.

A few weeks back TT mentioned a deal with another studio. Did we ever find out what it was? Maybe I missed it. I would TT or someone to get their hands on MGM titles from WB. When we talk classic Hollywood this is where 99% of the movies reside.

TT posted on their Facebook page last weekend that the limit was being reduced to 1 per order because at the current rate (2 per order) it was on pace to sell out in another two weeks.

Well, I just got an update on Facebook from filmmaker Tim Sullivan who is friends with Tom Holland. They have 16 brand new copies of the Twilight Time "Fright Night" disc that they will be unwrapping so Tom Holland himself can autograph them. It appears they are being sold via eBay by Tim Sullivan's production company account (oh, and don't get your hopes up, the 'buy it now' price is $350 with starting bids being $100 less), here's a link to the auction: http://www.ebay.com/itm/171370064094...84.m1555.l2649

Here's what Tim had to say about it on Facebook -
Quote:
In association with Tim Sullivan’s New Rebellion Entertainment, horror icon TOM HOLLAND presents a series of Collector Auctions from his personal archives. Up first….COLLECTOR’S LOT #1: FRIGHT NIGHT BLU RAY COLLECTOR’S PAK

In December of 2011, Twilight Time Home Entertainment released the 1985 cult classic FRIGHT NIGHT on REGION FREE Blu Ray in a limited run of 3000 units which sold out within one week, becoming an instant collectible item in great demand.

Now, FRIGHT NIGHT writer/director Tom Holland himself has made available SIXTEEN BRAND NEW copies of this long out of print Blu Ray, which he will personally autograph.

NOTE: ITEM IS BRAND NEW AND WILL ONLY BE UNWRAPPED FOR HOLLAND TO SIGN

Accompanying this autographed Blu Ray is

A numbered Certificate of Authenticity (pictured above) also signed by Holland

A 5x7 photograph of Holland signing the ACTUAL Blu Ray won by bidder (see sample pictured above)

An 8x10 photograph of Holland and star Roddy McDowall taken on the set of FRIGHT NIGHT also autographed by Holland (pictured above).

TOM WILL BE MAKING ONLY 16 OF THESE COLLECTORS PAKS AVAILABLE!

ONLY 16 PEOPLE IN THE ENTIRE WORLD CAN SAY THEY OWN THIS!

WILL YOU BE ONE OF THEM?
Atleast it looks like he was smart enough to sign the insert, not the outer plastic casing..

Even with Tom Holland's signature, a brand new, but not wrapped barebones copy of "Fright Night" really isn't worth the $350 'buy it now' price. I don't picture Tom Holland fetching anymore than $25 tops for an autograph that may or may not also include a photograph with the man himself at horror conventions, so I wonder how they came to the price they are at.

No bids yet.

Even more interesting where did these 16 copies come from? Tim and Tom are such fans they both bought 8 copies each and never opened 'em? Or Tim Sullivan bought 16 for the hell of it? Who knows...

It is not sold out yet on SAE but is selling already for $81.95 on Amazon. I have a feeling once it sells out it will be more outrageous in price.

Bleh.

Also, even if I did want Tom Holland's autograph, I wouldn't want it right across the front of the artwork. I'd have it on the back of the booklet inside like what TT/SAE does with their autograph promotions. Especially considering a collector's item like this, what a laugh. I can't wait for this thing to be put out after December this year by a major studio.

Oh, and it sold out in a month, not a week.

I decided to get my order in for The Train as well. Ordered The Man from Laramie and Born Yesterday along with it.

I can't wait for Twilight Time to re-license Fright Night, so we can see it sell out again, then watch people whine about it for yet another 3 years.
