Looks like they're branching out to posters as I noticed on their FB page they now have a Twilight Time Art web site although still no Twilight Time Movies site.

I think that TT is just promoting this to help their artist.

Oddly enough, a few hours after I make my post this morning, I get an email that my order has finally shipped. Better late than never I guess.

Actually, that was about the third time I've posted about it, so I tried.

Well my order that was supposed to contain a signed Garcia arrived. No signed Garcia... The other 4 titles arrived. I'm not one for conspiracies, but it's funny that when I mention an unshipped order that immediately I get a shipping notice. It wasn't a complaint I was stating a fact because people have pmed me asking for it and something else from the order. So if someone here from TT or SAE is reading these, what gives? I've only been waiting since April and now I get my package without a signed copy?

I kind of felt the same way. I asked about it on the Facebook page, got a mildly snarky response, and an hour later got a shipping notice.

I also still haven't been charged for it.

The responses I received from SAE were the nicest I've had from them about this situation.

Oh I got one from TT direct. Something like "it's a small staff with thousands of orders." I can also be reading into it, but it felt a bit curt. Not that I really care, I just find it odd that it was shipped and I haven't been charged yet. Last month the charge went through about a day before it was shipped.

I don't think it is curt so much as tone deaf. If you keep getting the same complaints from loyal customers, you need to address the problem. The shipping problems have been going on for about 10 months now & it has nothing to do with the small staff since the small staff can manage to get out Amazon orders on time. The difference is they will get negative feedback if they don't get the amazon orders out, but there are no consequences for the shipping delays at SAE because most costumers will continue to buy TT discs from them.

I've also complained about the shipping on facebook and immediately got a shipping notice.

I suppose I walked into that. I was hoping for an answer as to "its good" or "noon wine is a forgotten treasure" (neither of which are my opinion as I am unfamiliar with it)

Noon Wine is a Sam Peckinpah directed tv movie made in his period between Major Dundee and The Wild Bunch in which he was an exile from feature filmmaking. It features his first team up with actor Jason Robards who would later star in The Ballad of Cable Hogue, and composer Jerry Fielding who would go on to score most of his films.

It's never been commercially available. There was an excerpt of it on Youtube a year or two back (it looked like maybe it was shot on tape). If you're expecting another Wild Bunch you'll be disappointed since it appeared to be more of a small scale "chamber" drama. Still if you are a fan of Peckinpah it would be good to have.

I can only imagine, though, what it must be like to receive emailed complaints like this constantly, and be able to chalk up the vast majority of them to impatience and neediness. Being human, I'm sure these guys must've tired of this pretty damned fast. I know I would.

Then it becomes quite easy to say, "Oh, here's another person whining that his order will ship tomorrow instead of yesterday." Particularly when the time spent answering said emails is time taken from the business that would otherwise use the time to dispatch the orders. How long would it take before even the most understanding of us might resort to one line "cool your boots, man" responses?

I've ordered several things from TT via Screen Archives, and no, they haven't all shipped or arrived precisely on schedule, but they've all arrived, well packaged, undamaged, and within what I would characterize as a "reasonable window of time". Like, maybe a couple of days late -- possibly a week late once or twice.

The bottom line is, they're a small company who can't/don't want to pay to hire more help. If the problem is sufficiently annoying (and clearly it must be for some people, on the basis of about 1/4 of this thread) to contact them about it, well, I suppose that's their right.

But as a fellow anal-retentive movie geek who gets seriously excited about blu-rays...some of these cats just need to take a deep breath; life's too short to spend half of it mired in indignant email exchanges.
