Wow I've never bought a Twilight Time disc before and now I'll be picking up 4 at once, though if I'd go back in time I'd get Fright Night, Christine and NOTLD90. I know FN and Christine are being released by Sony internationally and FN is getting rereleased, but I just mean even though I have interest in some I never bought any TT discs. Their September 24th pre-orders are gonna hurt me. I'll picking up The Blob, Audrey Rose, The Believers, and The Vanishing.

" Twilight Time has notified us that owing to circumstances beyond their control at the manufacturers, shipping of the September titles is likely to be delayed until around the 18th. We appreciate your patience as we know how eager you are to have the discs in your hands. Rest assured this is a very unusual situation, and that the pre-order and release dates for the much-anticipated October titles remain unaffected. Thank you for your understanding. "

This is one Oildude's Ten Commandments of Movies: You can NEVER go wrong with Rita Hayworth.
No regrets. Cover Girl is a hugely enjoyable and entertaining film. Jane Eyre is good, too. Both are so different there is no point in comparing which is better. I like both and therefore own both. Last edited by oildude; 09-13-2014 at 07:49 AM. |

Great choice.
Cover Girl over Jane Eyre by a country mile. The always stunning Rita Hayworth is at her most stunning in Gilda and Cover Girl...but you can see her in colour in Cover Girl. It's endlessly entertaining. |

The sad thing is that there is strong evidence that Rita Hayworth was showing signs of early onset Alzheimer's by the mid 1950's. By 1960, people close to her reported that she would sometimes not recognize long time friends. The disease took 30 years to kill her. She needed money and kept working past the point when she wanted to retire.
By the time CANNED HEAT came along, we were no longer seeing the real Rita Hayworth. |
