Zardoz is one of those movies college kids will watch cause it's so ridiculous and weird and stars someone everyone knows. I saw it at more than one person's dorm room! I think it would sell just fine, certainly more than a lot of their legitimately good movies. :P

Lol. There are no rules, man. Don't be surprised if Zardoz end up being better seller then those two titles. It's a bad movie, but a cult favorite, for some reason.

It's one of those so-bad-its-funny movies and will definitely sell out quickly

Some titles confirmed as future TT releases: The Bride Wore Black, Zardoz and I believe Nic Roeg's Eureka.
I'm in for all three of those.

So according to Twilight Time, the special edition of Fright Night comes January 21st of next year. That's closer than we thought.

They're good about reading public posts to their Facebook page; I'd say about half of them receive public replies from TT's page or Julie Kirgo personally (who may also be the one answering posts as TT).

Not to be a jerk but why would anyone recommend Twilight Time get titles? I'd rather any other company put titles out, so they get more special features, a lower price, or both.

Twilight Time should be a last resort.

we/they recommend titles that are highly unlikely to be released by another major studio!

who eg. would like to release Spacecamp (1986) that I love?
but for TT, it could be a contender.

Fair enough. I guess if you're reasonably sure Kino, Shout and the rest would pass on it then it makes sense to go right to TT.

Not to mention that I personally, recommend titles that I'm especially interested in an isolated score too.

* * *

So, up until now the January-February titles we know are:
Fright Night
The Bride wore black
Zardoz

right?

How much more do we have to hear about how Twilight Time is disliked? Common now, get over it all ready. Twilight Time exists, they are successful, and they are going to continue. Really? At this point just go somewhere else with your belly aching. This is the reality of catalog titles on Blu ray now and forever.

It should TELL you something when so many disagree with it. Its NOT a popular or common business model. Deal with it.

And hahahahahaha on the last line. For now and forever. What is this? A royal decree from the pope.

Maybe Anchor Bay would rerelease it.

I'd like to see some that I can't seem to find anymore, such as, Cocoon and An American Haunting.

Kino with their out-of-sync issues? Shout with their constant poor compression issues? Hey, give me Twilight Time any day. They haven't screwed up any title themselves. And before someone says NOTLD90, they didn't screw up the transfer on that one, Sony did. Kino and Shout are directly responsible for the poor QC on their discs. Sure, TT just slaps whatever master the studio gives them, but at least they don't tinker with it more and slather it in noise-reduction, poor compression, or poor mastering where the audio goes out of sync. Give me Twilight Time any day, thank you.

I used to be a TT hater, but I got over it (although it took a while). It's hard to argue with success and starting with next month's preorders they will be releasing 6 titles per month!

This is NOT a common problem with Kino. Have you personally experienced this or are you just repeating what you have read on a thread of some users experiences with a few titles? I have the three KLSC - count 'em THREE - titles in question. One I watched last night and it had no synch issues at all, contrary to what has been reported. The other two have a mild out of synch issue that is so minor and not consistent that it did not bother me and I am very sensitive to these issues. It is also not clear that for these two it is a QC failure issue. However, this is certainly not the thread to get into this. Just sayin' to set the record straight.
