There's a chance. How much of one is another question. The first edition took a year and a half to sell out, so I'm not inclined to think a reissue is likely.

Wouldn't mind other Poitier movies like his Oscar winning "Lilies of the Field" and the excellent "The Defiant Ones" with Tony Curtis.

When KL Studio Classics started announcing so many upgrades of my MGM DVD collection, I was crossing my fingers that THE DEFIANT ONES would quickly garner an announcement. I hope they or TT or, heck, even Criterion would get that one out sooner rather than later!

I wonder the same thing about The Big Heat. I am not surprised that Enemy Mine sold out. I am just surprised that it took so long. If I were TT I would think long and hard about whether to re-release this once since 1500 units is alleged to be their break even point.

I know Christine is being re released this year with new features. Wish i knew the date of the blu ray.

TT hasn't provided a release date yet but March 2016 is three years from the last release. What we don't know is whether that three year window starts at the time the contract is signed, when the title is released, or some other variable.

According to another forum its 2015. In fact Fright Night sold out just the other day.

I remember reading it in their facebook too..

There were going to be 4 re-releases (Fright Night, JTTCOTE, Christine) and we don't know the 4th one.
I would hope for Mysterious Island.
(and The Blob, but of course that can't be re-released now)

Because 3 years must pass first to consider a re-release according to rights and stuff...
So, if they ever consider re-releasing it, this cannot be done before October 2017!!
