Aren't Arrow releases always region locked? The vast, vast majority of people do not have region free players.

A handful of Arrow titles are region free (Brian De Palma's Obsession for example) but seeing as Twilight Time has the North American rights, the Arrow version will undoubtedly be locked.

I really hope they will be re-issuing Mysterious Island. Harryhausen has a large enough fan base, and that release was pretty much barebones.

Mysterious Island makes the most sense because it has the highest resale value right now. "Like new" copies are at least $100 on ebay and it is not available in any other market.

It is, actually in Spain, but Resen may be one of those bootleg companies.

Yes, Resen is definitely one to watch out for:

I've considered purchasing this one myself, but have been unable to find any reliable info as to whether or not is in fact a BD-R. Apparently not every film from Resen and Llamentol is, from what I've read.

I'd love for them to rerelease Night of the Living Dead with the proper color scheme. Of course, following the shitstorm that title caused, saying Night of the Living Dead around the Twilight Time offices is probably a firing offense.

As I always note, you don't need a hacked region-free player to watch UK Arrow discs, just a Panasonic.

On an unrelated note, in my most recent purchase from Screen Archives Entertainment there was a flyer stating they buy used CDs, DVDs & Blu-rays. Does anyone have experience selling new/used Blu-rays to SAE? Is their pricing fair? Thanks.

I've really been anxious for pre order day this week more than any so far. Not sure why ( I'm only interested in two BDs ). I just finished watching Beach Blanket Bingo on blu-ray with my wife.....maybe that has something to do with it

Any particular model of Panasonic players? Or are all Panasonics region-free out of the box? And do they handle 1080i/50 discs?

Anyone think both FIRST MEN IN THE MOON and JOURNEY TO THE CENTER OF THE EARTH will be sold out on the first day?

Well, I know we, as far as I'm concerned, because I'm really interested in seeing that 4K restoration of JOURNEY TO THE CENTER OF THE EARTH.

Olive Films release of BEACH BLANKET BINGO and HOW TO MURDER YOUR WIFE are two BDs I'll get eventually.

Is TT re-releasing MYSTERIOUS ISLAND? I don't think I've read that, but I could be wrong. JOURNEY? I doubt it will sell-out in the first day, not with 5000 copies, but if the restoration is a good one, it could sell-out again and maybe faster than it did before.

The models mention in this thread are:

BD-220
BD-601
BD-110
BD-500
BD-330

There may be others as well.

I don't know about 1080i, but they won't play the video (only the audio) for R2 PAL SD content. Apparently the Arrow disc of Rififi doesn't play, but otherwise I'm 44/44 on Region B Arrow discs on my 220.

Not that anyone (including the folks at Twilight Time) has said. People seem (and not without reason) to assume that it's the one so-far-unannounced re-issue.

The original release took three months to sell out. Even with an extra 2000 copies this time around, I think it'll sell out more quickly, but not the same day.

Extremely unlikely (almost impossibly unlikely, really). However, if you want the movies, it's always a good idea to order as soon as you can just to be safe.
