I ordered three movies during the sale, and they didn't ship till ten days after the order date. Great movies, great packaging, totally random shipping.

I placed my order on the 2nd and it is still pending so I look to it shipping sometime next week most likely as they are still catching up from the sale. This is my first experience with them so I base this off of other replies on this thread.

I waited 5 days for shipping but two of those days were the weekend, so really three days. I think that's acceptable. 10+ days is not acceptable IMO.

I placed orders on 3/31, 4/1, 4/2 and 4/3. All are still pending. Paid with both a CC and paypal. One order was for one movie, one for 8 movies. The other two were 5 and 4. I just couldn't stop with those sale prices. Hope they ship soon.

Send Ed a polite email. No crazy exaggerations, no accusational tone, just be friendly and understanding. Make it short and to the point in a nice way. Expect to get a short polite email in return. Don't pester the hell out of him with constant emails because your order hasn't shipped in two days or whatever, but if it has been over a week a nice email will get you an "it's in the queue" response or maybe a bit more exposition. But you will never be simply ignored and will always get a response. I have emailed Ed maybe a dozen times in the past two years. He has always been courteous.

Ed and gang at SAE are great people. They have even held orders for me and shipped them later when I have been out of town. They have removed items I changed my mind on before the order shipped and did so promptly and without comment. I have never had to send back the wrong order. Yes, sometimes there are delays depending on when discs reach SAE or extreme weather events or large volumes of orders in a short period of time. But your order WILL ship, and it will get to you. SAE's packaging is still about the best there is. That all adds up to being a winner in my book.

Mine was 13 days from order to receipt. The sale did throw them for a loop, but you WILL get your films, and as I said upthread, my 3 couldn't have been packed any better. Bombproof.

Just hang in there. Learning they have a small staff calmed me immediately last week. I completely understand and respect what they're doing, and feel my 14 titles are even more special now.

I placed an order on the 31st and the 2nd. Four films and one of those was The Remains of the Day which i think does not release until Tuesday. I am fine with them just waiting to ship all four together.

I have requested a couple of times for an item to be cancelled and Ed has always been quick to cancel and to respond. I am not the impatient type, but I have inquired about orders and he has responded quick. I would give SAE high marks for its customer service. I also agree that they do a great job packaging the movies...once they ship, it gets to the destination quick.

People need to understand that SAE is NOT a billion dollar retailer like Amazon. Not to accuse anyone but I would hate to work in customer service...I see the stuff people complain about and the Internet breeds just many whinners. Also, too many scammers trying to get stuff for free. Some have a legit issues but others go way over the top...I have read instances where some return the same movie to Amazon multiple times trying to get a perfect slipcover...come on.

There's no problems with sending SAE an inquire email...just be reasonable about it. For outstanding orders, it is safe to assume that they are trying to catch up.

I agree other small companies ship after reciving orders I know because I've order from them. But I'll wait another week and a half before I contact them to cancel. I never ordered from this site so I didn't think I would have to wait so long for them to ship. I guess I'm use to how other sites ship.

I've had the same experience. If you order enough to get them in a box (usually at least three), they'll come packaged better than what any other company out there provides (with the exception of CDJapan, but that's different, given the international shipping involved).

SAE has always shipped my orders correctly. The Blu-rays have always arrived with no damage or issues. What else should anyone expect? I give SAE very high marks for customer service.

I usually type, "Please ship my item in a box to minimize the possibility of damage.", in the Screen Archives Entertainment request box, even when I'm ordering only one Blu-ray.

Today, I received The Song of Bernadette in a box with little styrofoam chips inside to protect it even more. That was pretty awesome.

FWIW, I'm pleasently surprised that after having shipped yesterday, my 3/30 order arrived bright and early this morning. It helps I'm within fifty miles of where it shipped from but I was still not expecting it until tomorrow at the earliest.

In general, my previous orders with SAE took a while to ship, but once they did ship, they arrived quickly. I don't know if they always do, or always have done, but my packages have all been sent 2-Day Priority. My previous order (with Journey to the Center of the Earth, First Men in the Moon, and U-Turn) took six days, but that was clearly a problem with USPS, as the tracking information kept getting revised with respect to when it arrived or left a particular facility.

The second of my two Birthday Sale orders didn't ship until 4/8 (it was placed on 3/29), but it just arrived. The first of my two Birthday Sale orders was placed on 3/25, but contained a pre-order for Zardoz, so I don't expect it to ship until next week.

Anyway, my just-arrived package contains:

All the King's Men
Born Yesterday
Bunny Lake Is Missing
Drums Along the Mohawk
Inherit the Wind
Khartoum
Mr. Hobbs Takes a Vacation
Zulu

I still remember them wanting me to pay $3 extra for that privilege, after doing it for free a couple times, then ignoring my request the third time. Guess Ed must have been in a bad mood that day when I asked him about it... Now I just mostly order in 3s.
