My guess for their second re-release is either Body Double or Wild Heart.

Twilight Time hasn't said what the other re-release will be. Mysterious Island is the current front-runner in terms of what people think the other re-release will be. I'd say that it's the most likely, with only The Big Heat giving it any real competition. Night of the Living Dead would be another possibility, but given the brouhaha over the first release, I don't imagine it'll be re-released unless TT can be guaranteed a trouble-free master.

A lot of folks believe (not unreasonably) that a re-release won't happen until the 3-year window for the intitial release is up. This was the case for Fright Night, and almost the case for Journey (the re-release came out two months ahead of the end of the 3-year window). The 3-year windows on Mysterious Island and The Big Heat have expired (well, in the latter case, it'll expire by the end of this week). The 3-year window for the two Sinbad titles won't be up until December 2016, so those titles are not likely to be in the queue for re-release.

Another factor for re-release is probably the time it took to sell out. Mysterious Island took 8 months to sell out, The Big Heat took 13 months.
Do you have information that Journey was released before the the year period expired?

It seems unlikely to me that the the period starts with the release and more likely that it starts when the contract is signed or at some fixed date after that. If I were the studio I wouldn't sign over rights with an undefined date. If the release was delayed a year they'd be giving up the film for an extra year with no additional payment.

Isn't one of the criteria as to whether or not TT re-releases a title that it needs to be improved, ie pq, extras?.....if so then The Fury would seem a good candidate

They said something about wanting to add something new to re-releases but I don't know if that was really a guarantee or anything. It will be hard to add much to Christine.

The trailers or another audio commentary are about it. The teaser trailer for Christine was much better than the film itself:

Anyone find the clear cases yet in low quantities? Cohen Media Group uses the same ones.

The original release was released on May 8, 2012 where as the reissue was released on March 10, 2015. That's two months shy of 3 years. What we don't know though is when the three year period starts as it might begin before a title is released.

Well, their second re-release just happened a couple of months ago.

Is there any particular reason for thinking Body Double or Wild at Heart would be at the top of the queue?

Twilight Time hasn't said a single word about how the 3-year window is determined, and I wouldn't expect them to ever say anything, given that it must be a contract point.

I have no data that shows with certainty that the window begins with the release date. But you're wrong about it being an undefined date, as TT announces the release dates months ahead of time (we learned the specific release dates for the July and August titles in April), and probably have a good idea what they are before then.

The date that the contract is signed is far more nebulous, because delays can still happen, and they'd affect Twilight Time's exclusivity period. Zardoz, for example, was delayed well over a month while Fox worked on the master. And Centennial Summer (another Fox title) was originally scheduled for last August, and is still in limbo while some legal issues are ironed out. In the latter case, Man Hunt was slid up two months to take its place in the schedule. If the 3-year period started with the date the contracts were signed, moving these titles around the schedule would cause problems, and the contracts would have to be adjusted.

The window might start with the release date, or it might start with the pre-order date, or it might start with some other date specified in the contract (for example, "X" days after the contract signing, or some such). In discussions in this thread, we've tended to use the release date because it's a hard date that we are privy to. It's just an assumption that the window starts then, but it's not an unreasonable assumption to work with without having any data suggesting otherwise.

Right, Twilight Time has said nothing about how the exclusive period is determined, yet you claim Journey was released before it expired.

And I was absolutely correct about not accepting an undefined date. If you read carefully, you'll note that I wrote what I would do, and I'm a much better judge of that than you are.

Just finished watching Hard Times. Highly recommended! First TT Blu-ray that I've ever seen. The picture was beautiful, and the audio quality was clear. This has become one of my favorite Charles Bronson films. Top three have to be Once Upon A Time in the West, Death Wish, and Hard Times. Hopefully, TT releases more Charles Bronson films. Now I have to buy The Mechanic before it's gone forever. I'll buy it when TT has those signed Blu-ray promotions.

If you can't grasp that there's an understood "based on what I'm assuming is the basis for the window", I'm not sure there's any point in further discussion. Sheesh.

My point is that your suggestion(s) for a more likely date are just as undefined as any. Since Twilight Time has never said how the window is determind, any date that we assume is an undefined as any other. If you want to choose a different date, be my guest, but that doesn't make my assumption any less reasonable than yours.

I wouldn't wait too long to pick up The Mechanic, It's a must own for true Bronson fans. The TT time release is just fantastic. On that note, if you've not gotten it already I very highly recommend Kino Lorber's release of Bronson in Mr Majestyk It's one of my personal Bronson Favorites.

I also highly recommend The Mechanic. Truly great 70's action film and the disc looks very good, better than reviews suggest. It does have some rough scenes the reviews likely focused on, but the vast majority of the film looks clean and very detailed.

I need to get the Kino Bronson titles. Keep putting it off. Hopefully they're in print a good long time.

Breakheart Pass and Mr. Majestyk are very "ordinary" releases... no "pop" at all in regards to picture quality but I'm still glad to have them in my collection. Certain movies one may have to wait forever to get a great release..

I saw The Mechanic about 6 years ago from a bargain DVD. Turns out that specific DVD had cut the film. It lost about 30 minutes. I still haven't seen the entire film. I can still remember it, and the cut part, too. Bronson was having a conversation with his pupil, and all of a sudden, they're being chased. Once I buy the TT title, I'll be able to see the whole movie.

That's weird. There was a DVD of Never Say Never Again where the same thing happened.

I received my copy of Zardoz today. The clear case looked quite sharp I thought buuuut I had to switch it out for a regular blue case because it was cracked,
